bought a piece of black king starboard hdpe. Then I used my old panel to trace out pattern. Then cut out and then fucked it up trying to use a dremel because that’s really all I had because a lot of my shit is in storage.

Looks great. What is the wheel, tire combo and sizes? Also, what are your suspension mods?

Finally pulled the trigger on 4 - 20” double acting cylinders to do a diy topper lift using OBA instead of linear actuators. They have a 20mm SS piston rod and 50mm bore with a lift capacity of ~350lbs each and if it works as planned will fit inside the bed walls. Also made up the manifold for it and modded one of the small cubbies I got from @HAVOC for that. All 4 cylinders cost less than a single windoor. I’ll have to relocate my tank though, it currently resides in the passenger bed wall up against the front end.

I’m guessing there are other comments on this but I haven’t caught up yet. My opinion would be to wait. It’ll leak, or it’ll make noise. Then replace it.

Since I have been on TW for over 5 years now and have made some second gen friends I thought I would share something that I already shared on the third gen section.
It is important to understand the true meaning of Memorial Day. After flying in the Navy for 20 years and having 15 mayday emergencies, engine fires, cabin fires, etc, etc I still came back alive. It is not about those of us who made it back alive. It is about those who made the ultimate sacrifice who did not return alive. It is about those who will never again be able to experience their dreams and aspirations. It is about those who will never again be able to laugh and cry in life. It is about those who will never again be able to hold their loved ones. They are the true heroes. Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Yes. I went to Home Hardware and they mixed me up a spray can to match the truck paint code.

Also did some painting on the inside.

I’d recommend painting the “stainless” tabs where the locks go through. I had mine mounted for about a month and they are rusted all to hell.
