Has it been sitting for awhile? I'd start with spark and then go to the fuel pump.

If you have a 12v test light, they are pretty easy to determine if the fuel pump is bad. There are some really good videos on line to show you how. You can also check to see if power is going to the pump with one. Can you hear the pump priming when the key is switched to the on position?

Yep, can hear the pump cycle when key it turned to run position, then turns off when fuel pressure is reached.

That is normal then. Need a kit to check the pressures which should be 39 PSI +_3. Did you check for spark?

    Yep, has great spark.

I drained the tank. Fuel looked good.

I need to put in some new fuel next.

I'd try a very short shot of starting fluid to see if it fires, if it does, even for a second, then it's going to be in the fuel supply system. Does it have a filter? and make sure the o2 sensor is hooked up and hasn't had the wires chewed on. In fact, check all the wiring for rodent damage. Check all your molex connections to make sure they are secure. And I know you will likely have a fuse panel, check those and make sure they are all good and secure.

Speaking of mowers, because I have no life, or had too many beers I decided to clean up the Cub. Pressure washed but not only that, I followed up with a coat of one of those ceramic sprays

Heh, yea, gonna be a shame to get it dirty again. Maybe with the spray coating it won't stick as bad. If not, it'll atleast be easier to clean off. My one neighbor was passing by and seen what I was doing. Just chuckled and shook his head  Jokes on him, I also used the same stuff on my trash can to try and perk up the faded plastic. I'll say it works pretty good; nicest old trash can in the neighborhood.

Too fancy for me. I just blow mine off with a leaf blower or the compressor and a wand. I don't actually wash mine very often, the water tends to do more damage then a little dry dust does. At the end of the season I wash mine, let it run for awhile to let everything dry [including under the deck], grease all the zerks and then put mothballs anywhere mice might decide to winter over. [and that includes down into the engine, they vaporize over the winter so not much remains] Sure it smells like an old ladies basement but that sure beats mouse remains and poo when they heat up.

It's the only thread drinking and driving (a lawn mower) is not taboo.

They wouldn't put beer holders on lawn mowers if it wasn't OK to do. My new one has TWO beer holders. Now if I can just figure out how to mount one on the ROPS...........

One of the other mods on my tractor forum took one of my XT3 pictures and had a mouse pad made and sent to me.

I'm down to a hour and 15 minutes with the new ZTR now and that includes a bit of trimming with the push mower. The new one took just about 25-30 minutes off over my old ZTR. Originally it used to take 3.5 hours to mow the lawn on a regular tractor type. [44 inch deck] 11 MPH ain't no joke when you are mowing. I should be able to knock another 10-15 minutes off with a bit more practice with the new one.
