Make us wait at least 6 months for the pre-paid prototypes until we start flaming you on TW and demanding our money back. Then just disappear!

Yes, that is part of the system. If you require the tool separately, you will have to pay extra.....:D

My question is with way used car prices are, why used?

Do you live in California with crazy taxes and dealer $5,000 markups?

Here’s st a local dealer. New ones in stock. Off road manual or auto or sports in stock.

Probably 30 or more within 60 miles of my house. I’ve seen semi truck car haulers driving past me filled with new Tacomas in the last week.

That would look so good in lime rush color with a red TRD badge on it.

Jeep crowd is gonna need their own version. Slightly different. Must hold more tape, and stick to oily surfaces.

Someone really needs to do a Blue's Brother skit.

    It's got TRD shocks
    It's got TRD emblems
    It's got a TRD locker

At just that moment they flip the locker switch and jump the bridge

Is it the new Tacoma or what

Depending on where you live I guess .

Most places here can be driven in a Camry.

Love the Sport on the highway or on curved roads. Handles great.

It was cheaper by $3k for a new manual Sport vs a automatic Off-Road so I traded in my 2017 for a boat load of money and got a 2021 Sport MT.

OP you should buy what you like and not worry about what other people think you should get. I have a Sport and I love it. I use it 99% on the street and my only off-road use is long gravel driveways lol. I really like the handling of the Sport for on the street. If I did a lot of real off-roading I probably would have went with the OR and sacrificed the street handling. Honestly you can't go wrong either way. They are both excellent vehicles.

I'm sure you've noticed that there are people on here that get wound up if you like something they don't like, or don't like what they like. Just ignore them. They aren't worth the bandwidth.

Looks like it's some sort of spray on coating that claims to add some structural integrity in key areas.

I drove both TRD Sport and TRD OR in manual, and automatic, short and long bed. The OR suspension is significantly softer and when driving on the road it feels a little floaty. You get a decent amount of noise dive when you touch the brakes and there is more body roll. The OR handles potholes and dirt roads better as the soft suspension swallows up uneven terrain. The Sport handles better on road with it's stiffer suspension and less body roll. After driving both, I bought a Sport I don't do a lot of off roading and would rather have a better driving experience on the roads I frequent. The OR was just too soft for my liking. Even though the Sport has stiffer suspension, it still manages uneven roads and potholes quite well. OR does have some features including crawl control and an e-locker that would be nice to have, but I can't see them being absolutely necessary considering I already have 4x4 and my other vehicle is a Subaru with AWD.

It's a bedliner type material as @jmneill mentioned. Supposedly it strengthens part of the shell, but I dunno entirely about that. I do like how it looks though, as it breaks up the colors a bit.

True. But if the intention is to raise and fix the suspension than the LB comes back into proportion.
[op] does th Sport even come in a long bed?

There's a white 2018 LB , OR in Portland with 25k miles for 44,999 that is already built you might like at Jordan Motorsports . Price seems a bit high but that's the normal now and they are expensive to build right .

I've always wondered why they make a "sport" version of the Tacoma, especially to those who end up changing out everything the sport comes with?

Most Tacos in my area are Sports. Especially the 2G. The 4 door longbed Sport was definitely Toyota best seller in western Canada for many years. That may be changing with new popularity of “OvErLanDing”. More offroads may be selling now.
