Share your 1999-2000 Tacoma Stereo mods and upgrades

Please share you're 1st Gen stereo mods and upgrades/ rear view cameras thank you!

 

I doubt you would find my 8 track player much of an upgrade but I love my Dean Martain and Frank Sinatra tapes It looks to be the Last one to be found so when it can no longer be fixed it is over.

 

If there was a Naked Woman involved I would still forget to take pictures.

To me the film is still sent away comes back a few weeks later with lots of thumb pictures never what I aim at.

I never took pictures most likely never will.

 

A currently working 8 track is seriously cool! I’m old enough to remember when those were new..

 

In my truck I’m runnin a relatively simple and cheep kenwood double din head unit with a kicker 10 inch stand alone amplified sub box. I replaced front and rear speakers with infinity 3 way fronts and 2 way rears. Mid grade quality from crutchfield. Got about 700 into it and it goes as loud and tight as I need. No back up camera but the head unit is capable of it, I’m old and just use the mirrors. At my age most tech stuff is meh, but I do love the blu tooth and Spotify, nearly any song or artist at the touch of a button, pretty FN cool..
I also need to clean my interior, looks terrible in pics but I’m not gonna clean it just for this post, lol..
The one thing I hated about this head unit was it’s stupidly small and smooth volume knob, so one day I’d had enough and stopped at a hardware store determined to find something to fix it. If that looks like a chair leg rubber floor protector to ya, then you’d be right...

 

Ive a Sony head unit to a RF t400-4(under passenger seat), gets fairly loud, but trying to get my amp working for a sub (Also need to find someone with the proper tools to check gains and get the extra sound I don't need lol). Thinking Image dynamics IDQ 12 800RMS... We get there when we get there.
