You can use all of a 12" shock relocation with Dakars and Hh, it's well established

Is there a leaf pack that will allow full travel from a 14” shock with the HH?

Not with a lower mount position that maximizes clearance, with a Deaver U402 we locked out the shackles at 13" of travel with a lower mount about 1" below the axle so the shock was internally limited to 12.75"

It's different for HD springs FYI, 12" is best for HD.

Light duty springs like RXT on stage 1 and Deaver U402 stage 1, some customers are getting 13", so you can use a 14" shock, but as @hoarder23 said, a 2.5x14 will require axle tabs to be rotated down to accommodate its 3" longer collapsed length

So those are nut "flags" that get welded to the nut, so you can position the nut with your fingers or needle nose pliers. This is in an effort to keep the threads easily replaceable, with the carnage that can happen with severe duty use

And this is necessary because I kept the tower as tight as possible to the bed for tire clearance

Hammer hangers and crossmember done. Added a 1” block to my existing icon aal. Def have some rake. Will adjust coilovers tomorrow. I hate spanners

side note— need a new bolt flip and prob some decent bump stops. The ubolts are def close to stripped.

this install was a bitch! Lolol fuck those rivets. I actually cut part of the stock hanger to make it easier to drill. Made it easier for sure... glad I have protein here. What a workout above your shoulders. Lol

I didn’t take a pic when I finished. I need to figure out how to connect the crossmember up top. I’ll prob weld it so it can be connected and disconnected remotely easy. Crazy how much rust under the stock hangers. It’s a 2020 with 16k miles. You can see the difference with hd hangers vs stock too:

    Nice.

Does anyone think you're crazy for tearing apart a brand new truck??? LOL

In case you didn't know, u-bolts are one time use fasteners. It sounds like you may have used yours a couple of times.

BTW, I love my HHs! I have a couple of thousand miles on them, with and without a trailer. A huge improvement.

I suppose I should post up some pictures....

And wastes lots of cutting disks. lol especially if you cut the old hangers so it's easier to drill.

    Finally!!
The second time was much “easier.” Not as difficult as I imagined but the rivets Can be tedious to clear out of the holes.

Yup! I cut the old hangers. Made it significantly easier but I went through a few disks for sure lol.

I have some of these on order. Question, has anyone tried to get the rivets out with an air chisel?
