I might need to do this with my ARB Elements 60L! May be a little bit easier because it opens long way unlike these Dometic units you guys are posting.

I do have a small CNC now, anyone interested in some CNC cut versions? Any requests for modifications?

Reviving this old thread because it helped inspire my platform. Kinda shitty pics but I took the path of mounting the bottom plywood to the forward seat brackets, and removing the plastics to replace with plywood. I used 3/4” plywood all around, but it basically rests on the floor so I’m confident it could be 1/2” plywood if needed. Roughly 20” wide for the bottom with some notches to clear the back rear brackets. I did it out of a 48” long piece of plywood which worked fine. The bottom piece is about 26” long but doesn’t quite reach the back piece, but it’s long enough to fully support the fridge. I sprayed bed liner on it instead of carpeting and attached foam sound deadened on the back rest piece.

I’m so happy with this little project. We have had our fridge on the back of our folded down seat for years and it’s kept us from being able to position the driver seat ideally and from being able to fully open the fridge. I can’t believe this took me so long to do!

Here's how it was positioned before for reference. It's a CFX55.

Funny enough I did this project yesterday and took a lot of inspiration from this thread. I opted to use the hinges for the platform thinking that I'd use the space underneath for storage, but I kinda don't like the fact that I can't open the lid all the way......idk what to do now.:annoyed:

Separate question, will the cooler be okay with the vents faced back or do they really need lot of free space?

Nice build! You could flip your fridge around and reverse your lid. Then your vents would be at the front.

Bumping this because I’ve had my 55IM back here for a while and it’s been great.

Wondering anyone has stuffed a 75 in the same location? Quick measurements say it should fit.

This is most of what I’m thinking except ad want a slim drawer under the fridge and a taller/bigger fridge. Finally a small footwell filler behind the passenger seat so I can put my dogs bed back there and he has enough room.

Did you do it? I’m also 6’1 but with stubby legs I can move the seat up a bit. I don’t think I’d get a 75 but a 55 maybe and 45 for sure. I’d like to get a drawer underneath too and keep the passenger 60.
