I bet Reaves gets suspended

 

I'm not sure what to make of that game. Yes, the Avs are great. That being said Vegas was absolutely terrible and let the real McJesus treat them like trailer trash on prom night. It felt as much self induced as anything else.

 

While I'm the number 1 avs fan ever, this is correct. They played great, but I don't see this as a 4 game series. Game 6 avs take it....

 

The way they looked last night... VGK gets one at best...

Oh and since I didn't get the chance with the Preds...

Matthews and Marner disappeared after game 4. The last three games the Leafs played 20 minutes of hockey per game. Lots of blame to go around but, like the Oilers, this team isn't going anywhere. I'm not saying blow it up but as it sits there are clearly changes needed.

In any case onwards to summer. I didn't actually watch a complete game start to finish yet this playoffs. Just not into it for some reason. I find my self tuning out and taking breaks, could be a lack of fans but not really sure why. Even the Leafs blowing it again doesn't really matter to me, I didn't watch a minute of game 7.

 

Everything I said about McDavid/Leon, just copy/paste and change names to Matthews/Marner. Soft

Truth

 

Mathews will be the next Thorton and Marner the next Marleau at this rate. Lots of points, a few awards, and nothing that matters to show for it all.

I wouldn't be upset if they explored trading Matthews and Marner to Phoenix like has been quietly rumored.

 

Why did VGK sit Fleury? I saw him on the bench. I think VGK still loses but not 7-1 with Fleury.

 

I think just him having played a bunch and Lehner not having played in a while. Fleury didn't look sharp in all of those games, so I can only assume they just wanted to get Lehner in there and get Fleury a rest. And I agree, Vegas looked timid and overwhelmed, so it probably wouldn't have mattered, but still. Not ideal to sit the guy that got you there and then lose. So that makes Deboer look like he messed up, whether it was Lehner's fault or not.

 

I live in Toronto but grew up in Mtl and I've got no love for the Leafs. The fans get so excited about paying people like Babcock then Matthews and Marner ridiculous salaries as if that is what wins cups. Every year it is, "This is totally gonna be the Leaf's year to win the cup!!!" I take a ton of abuse for wearing Habs Jerseys and flying their banner on my truck and my house. The schadenfreude I enjoy after every implosion is awesome.

 

Breaking news, Habs fans hate Leafs fans.
