I don’t want to be “that” guy, but have you used the search tool yet? It’s very handy.

I recently installed it. Have 500 watts going to it via an audicontrol amp. IMO hits amazingly hard for a single 10. Since its sealed and not ported, you need to hit it with more power to get it to sound really good. Sounds great, made of fiberglass, fits perfectly behind passenger rear seat, what's not to like besides the high price?

The owner’s manual said its rated to run at 400 watts max. You haven’t had any problems with running the 500 watt amp?

no problems yet. The Crutchfield rep said 500 shouldn’t be a problem. If I blow it, guess I’ll be getting a replacement sooner than later

in a different car, i ran a 10" peerless xxls aluminum cone sub. it's rated for 100w rms, 200w max. i ran it on a 500w rms amp for almost 5 years before i got bored and changed subs. it's still working just fine.

it's less the values, and more how one uses the gear. distortion is what kills speakers. don't let them distort, and they don't die.

Agreed! Important to set gains properly to avoid clipping
