Same, we had massive rain storms this weekend and the need for sound insulation was made very apparent.

Thanks! Part number PT75835061. I almost bought some black FJ wheels from a craigslist guy but I decided I liked the contrast of the lighter gray with MGM

Yeah, I hear ya. I wasn’t in a huge rush with mine. But it was worth the wait for sure though.

I’m just glad to see he actually mounted it right, I see so many clowns that put the aluminum spacers on top of the rubber roof trim so the rack is way too high

Yes, you do. It makes a world of difference just in the ability to cool the cab quickly on hot days.

That will be nice but I'm more excited about the noise dampening from the roofrack at highway speed.

I'm assuming since you've done the roof you've done the doors and behind the rear seat cubby. Which do you think made the biggest difference?

Oh, fair point. I didn't hear my rack (when I had it), after doing the roof. I have yet to do the floors, I imagine that will do away with the very light sound I get from the tires now.

Rain on my '05 4Runner sounds normal. Rain on my '14 Taco sounds like it's a tin can.

It's too early to say, and I only did dampener so far on the doors and back wall. I still need to add insulation to those areas. The dampener made a HUGE difference eliminating bass vibrations from the stereo, and the roof insulation made a noticeable difference in keeping the cab cool. Usually I have the AC cranked all the way to keep the cab comfy for me in +100º temps. This weekend I had it on low or low plus one and it was nice. I live on the North coast, and high temps are not something I'm used to, so I know it made a difference.
The cab also seemed quieter to me, but someone else with more experience will probably chime in.

Agreed, I don't remember my '03 4Runner or '06 Sequoia sounding this loud. Heck I'm pretty sure my '95 4Runner had better sound insulation.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Great job. I did the samething, left the headliner in and dealt with it. Didn’t wanna fold the headliner to get it out. Once you the ceramic tints on, world of a difference.
