My pops side is all from Michigan. Beautiful state, most of it.

Those Jacaranda trees dump those purple flowers and all the sap that comes with them all over your car. Gotta watch out for those things...

When I first took my new bride (the lovely, sainted and formidable Mrs Gritto) to see my Southern relatives...
She was having trouble with comprehension and said something like: "I've never heard the "Deep South" accent before in person".
My Aunt Anne replied: "That's okay Hon, we've never heard "Deep North" either".

And he lives in the suburbs of Detroit.

 

Never been to Detroit. I just remember green grass everywhere and the Lakes are gorgeous.
