Trying to use our flight credits with American Airlines through Expedia that we have from a cancelled trip in May 2020. This is like pulling teeth out of a live crocodile.

Every time we call - "Please stay on hold, an agent will be with you in....8 or 9 hours. Would you like a call back?"

Well yeah, no shit

And of course they always call back when you're in the middle of something.

 

that shit is so annoying. It's in their interest to make sure you don't use your credit because they make less money

 

Yeah it's pretty fucked up. They can't just credit your account so that it shows when you log in that you have a certain amount to be used, I mean every other e-commerce website on earth makes that seem pretty easy.

No...you gotta play this stupid game with them and even then, I expect I'll get some kind of push back when I do finally get through to a person.

 

"oh, we're sorry, account credit is subject to blackout restrictions. Would you like to book one trip for each of the next five Feb 29ths?"
