Ok y'all, I'm taking this one and running with it. Let me know if you are in. So here it is:

June 5th: Sleepy Creek, WV.
The trail is nothing crazy, but it's fun. All but the hard trail are stock friendly. Can be muddy, and it's def a good time. We will start at the easy trail, run up towards the lake, then detour up to a fun overlook to chill, maybe have lunch, then head towards the lake. Depending on the group we may go down the harder trail, but will most likely need to come back up it. Then out to the lake. I'm down to camp if anyone else is in. It's a really nice spot.

Sounds good, I'll be there. If it gets too dicey for my stock garbage, then I can just hop in with someone else. I can camp as well too in my ground tent like a pleb, but will have to see what sunday plans are like before I can commit to camp

Ordering some camping equipment and working on the wiring. Planning on coming if my stuff gets here on time.

 

Not going to be able to make this one. Got a few family birthdays this weekend.

 

So far I haven’t made any progress on the Toyota lol at this rate I’m gonna wing it with the forbidden one that’s barely road legal

Had a day off in Seattle so i went on an adventure to Mount Rainier National Park

Anyone have any experience installing headlights? The whole assembly, not just the bulbs.

 

thats a pretty simple job that you could tackle yourself

 

I watched a couple videos online, but trying to figure out an easy way to get to the bolt behind the fender.

 

Definitely a beautiful place. I went up there by myself and went hiking at Paradise. Wasn’t long before I ran into a black bear and decided to turn my ass around and hike elsewhere since I was solo lol.

 

Pull back the fender liner.

 

Once you know where that side bolt is, it's easy. You just gotta go figure it out. Undo the fender liner, fold it back, and go in blind

 

This is on my 4runner, so not exactly the same, but they also have a bolt deep down inside the fender got the housing thats a tight fit. Like others have said, need to drop the fender liner out to get it. Not sure where it is on tacomas, but for me, I just needed to drop down the front of the plastic

 

A gear wrench with a flex head worked well for me.

 

Right now my plan is to head up Friday. Any camp sites y'all want me to try and squat on?

 

We were talking about snagging the area down near the lake. Should be enough room for all of us.
