Cause you are! It’s not a feeling it’s just the way it is! Even if you had a list you’d forget to write something down! Never know you need it until you don’t have it!

We've got a 1000 miles to contemplate our forgetfulness and a grocery store at our final turn off. I'm trying to not to go overboard but it's hard when you've got major swings in daytime and nighttime temps.

Yep, I always forget something. On my most recent camping trip I forgot my inflatable sleeping pad.

The trip before that? I think I forgot my binoculars and possibly some of my camera gear.

Just roll with it and have fun anyway, since it’s impossible to remember to pack absolutely everything. :)

Umm... It's a mixed trip, but 5 nights in the truck initially and 1 or 2 on the way back. We'll be staying at a friend's I'm between camping and our return.

My sis just graduated 8th (is that a thing?), my niece is turning 18 and just graduated high school, my brother is graduating college and there's a few extra birthday celebrations shoved into everything.

I forgot another blanket last trip and that's added in, but thank you for the binocular reminder!!

Been on enough trips thousands of miles away to know that if you want to have a good time, you start it off by getting your shit ready early so you don't forget anything and can weigh it.

Edit: if it's a night of camping with the guys, we've decided to go mid afternoon sometimes when we're bored, rush pack in 20 minutes and be out the door to drive who knows where and how far...so answers may vary

Mine have generally been 2-3 nights away so I usually get by with just throwing a bunch of clothes in a bag.

Making a week trip to Michigan, leaving Friday… I’ll pack either Thursday night after half a bottle of Jameson or Friday morning slightly hung over.

I vote night before with that plan. I can barely function at a certain level of hungover, let alone pack

We keep most of our gear packed minus the fridge and some extra clothes. What throws this off is it's both camping and not a camping trip so extra stuff like shampoo, blow dryer, birthday presents, etc are all packed.

Can’t remember what trip I took but it was work related, left my entire bag next to the door! No cloths, toiletries, nothing!! Had to go shopping at Walmart upon arrival! Realized it when I looked in the back seat and double looked and went :censored:!! I was able to offset the cost with mileage money!!
