Do you have a ODBII code reader? Have you pulled the codes?

It should still be under warranty. Get it towed to your local dealer and have them resolve the issue for you.

When you step on the brake pedal, do the brake lights come on? If they don't, you probably have a bad or misadjusted pedal switch. That would also prevent the push-button start system from starting the engine.

Yep, good advice unless @eclipse98 had an aftermarket alarm or remote start system installed by himself or a 3rd party shop.

    Would unhooking the battery help?

Would a misaligned brake pedal switch trigger the brake system malfunction warning light?

Back track remove the remote starter to eliminate that as a variable and go from there.

I would remove what was added. Prior to remote start install no issue then afterwards issues. That has to be your problem. Check main fuses see if any have blown. Get a cheap code reader and pull the code this could narrow down where or what to do.

The easiest place to start would be to see if your brake lights come on. The ABS computer probably isn't seeing 12V from the brake light switch.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.

sounds like you figured out the problem, if something goes wrong after an after market install then there's a really good chance that is what caused the problem.

Good. Removing it took it out of the equation ( which I am confident caused the issue). Now you need a code reader. Also check to see if any wires by chance are not fully plugged in or buttoned up correctly. check abs computer as was mentioned and appropriate fuses. Take your time.

It would be specific to the remote start system you used. Normally you need to press the brake pedal to start the engine. In principle, the remote start system would need to tap into the pedal switch circuit wiring. Check that none of the factory wires in that circuit have been cut or short-circuited to ground.

Aftermarket remote start systems have been known to cause this issue. Removing the aftermarket system should resolve the issue
