Have the service Manager get a tech to ride with you and replicate the issue. You will probably get a response "That is how they drive" if your lucky they may check fluids. Most likely send you on your way. What is the build date?

Well, they marked everything down on the 3 work sheets that were printed out on everything that was checked, or done. Whether they actually did it or not remains a question. So far after the 2nd service all was done, and on time. I inspected the truck as well as possible after. Everything appeared to be completed. I've bought trucks from them in the past, just not this one. I've always thought them as a decent dealership.

Just got a call from the dealer, as expected, everything is working according to manufacturer specifications.

Fluid level is fine, no service bulletins, test drove, going to pick up now.

That doesn't surprise me! Your truck maybe on the latest factory ECU 04C21 new release. So you maybe experiencing something new that wasn't on the previous ECU.

He's just reiterating what everyone already knows, 1st gen is the best gen. Look at the mileage he got out of it. I bet his fuel door didn't bust after three years either. It would be great if the newest trucks were actually solid like their predecessors, but since they're not, I'm very glad I didn't find a 3d gen to buy when I was actually still considering them. Seems you're just buying a petulant chore to take to the dealer repeatedly, all the while still making the large monthly payments and absorbing all of the frustration. Hard pass.

That probably is how Gordon would react to the 3rd gen. This is one of his quotes:
“If I relaxed, if I took my foot off the gas, I would probably die.”

Maybe he was talking about trying to merge on the freeway in a 3rd gen!!! I digress.

Haha! You guys make me laugh.

    Enjoy your “superior” truck

By the way, my truck merges on the freeway like a rocket ship, stock or tuned.

Carmax gave me a fair price, $1000.00 higher than the dealer...

Purchased a SR5 V6 DCSB yesterday. It’s my fifth Tacoma, all have been 3rd Generation. Maybe I’m not as astute as I thought, but I have not noticed any transmission issues on any of them, at least not that I can recall.

Damn, 5 Tacomas in the last few years, that's pretty impressive!

I'm not talking smack, but why buy 5 of basically the same truck. I myself don't feel there's been enough refinement to do this.

I also get bored with a vehicle after 2-3 years and want to try something different

    I've taken the mudflaps off?
My 2021 DCLB OR, built Feb 2021, that I drive the piss out of, that has 16k on it and has been lifted with 285/75R16s since 7k, and has ZERO shuddering, bucking, vibrating, shaking or boog-a-loo-ing. It even downshifts as normal as My Rubicon or my F250 does.

(Admittedly it NEVER Upshifts to 6th gear, and that's my fault from my tire selection (but it will once I stuff 5.29s up its gear holes!)

I always wonder what's going on with these reports
