Damn. There's 224K open calls for JUN 18 $40. That ain't retail. Makes me seriously second guess shorting it until June's expiry.

IDK man. That's a HUGE open interest. A firm is behind more then some of that. Look at all the other open interests for Jun expiry. Both calls and puts. Then tell me that's retail. lol

 

6/18 $40P are expensive af. If I go in I'm gonna bet on it crashing in a week. Not on it going way up then super crashing lol

 

We'll know June 18th. If it closes below $40 it was retail. If it closes above $40 it was not retail. lol

 

AMC has to go wayyyyyyyyyyy up and then wayyyyyyyyyyyyy down for those 6/18 $40's to make any money

They SOLD all those calls to retail rubes...and then allow the price to climb and then DUMP all their shares and cash their 75,000 puts from $20 to $15

 

Changed the window a bit from $10.5 to $49.5. Still spooks me

 

Unless they were purchased for pennies weeks ago and now people are so enamored with $100 a share they're not selling to close and banking the $$$

I was gonna comment on this but wasn't so sure about it. I think all these options staying cheap for some reason is really where all the buying pressure on AMC is coming from. Not sure what goes into all that, i aassumed there was a reasonable amount of supply and demand to it hence i didn't point it out. Whatever it is something is keeping calls oddly cheap and drawing in a whole lot of buying from it

 

Yah I suppose it would be worth the risk if it was getting pumped while they were super cheap. That being said, Andrew "I-take-everything-I-read-on-the-internet-and-then-read-it-back-slowly-on-my-stream" Momoney is one of my least favorites. I don't know the other two guys.

 

OK. Let's entertain the idea it's mostly retail. That means the big money wrote that many calls for retail to buy. That also means big money most likely wrote a lot of them naked. If this thing stays above $40 at Jun expiry it's gonna gamma squeeze the shit out of it. Fuck. Maybe we should all be buying JUN 25 $50 calls. lol
