Anyone running a bush company awning? Thinking about buying their 270 for my 3,600 mile road trip.

I saw it was backordered and wasn’t sure if it would come in before I left for my trip.

how is it without the legs?

You need at least the two attached legs, but not until its set up and tensioned. This was a high wind river bottom, so I used all 4 legs and guyed them out.

did you use the gfc awning mounts or were the ones that came with the awning sufficient?

GFC. The ones that came with the awning were L-brackets designed to fit on cross-bars.

1 to 2 minutes then add the two extra legs if needed. First two are attached

Well, I placed my order this weekend. Time to go through this thread again and plan haha. Anyone wanna save me some search time and show how you ran the wires for a dust light on your V2?

No, a dust light is a small colored light facing rear, that people behind you can see in the dust. Usually amber or white, as red is for braking

Ah, got it. I'd be interested to see what others do, as well. The V2 is built so seamlessly that it looks harder to do a clean install than was the case with the V1. Now that the tent section uses channels instead of snaps you can't hide wiring along the seam between the extrusion and the fabric. The seals on the side panels also don't allow a place to run wires between the inside and outside. I bought the Matt Gecko LED kit and ended up having to rethink the wiring...V1 instructions didn't work.

I made myself a interior light kit for my shell like Mattgeckos, Ill probably do the same and will have to plan as soon as I get my shell done. I already need to redo my roof wiring for a third time lol.

Going to have to figure out if I wanna do the prinsu habitat rack or the sherpa rack for my truck.

I went with the Martin off-road gfc rack. Same concept as prinsu/Sherpa but it’s more solid, $100 cheaper, and ships same week.

    check it it out:

I have the same one, which you can barely see in this photo. A perfect fit for my DCLB and the GFC.

How is it more solid with less cross bars? That’s where the cost savings come from
