Well they replaced 2 tires & rebalanced the other 2. My commute into work this morning was bad. I think they made things worse.

What’s peculiar, is right out of the gate, they recommended me changing tire brand. So what do they know about the KO2s, that they’re not telling me. I have read that 35” KO2s are hit & miss for balancing. But maybe BFG is letting lower quality go out the door right now?

Has anyone else had recent problems with KO2s in the 315/75-16 size?

I haven't had any troubles with the fairly new set of 285 KO2's on my wife's FJ. Perhaps it's just the 315's that they can't get right. If you do end up switching, I have 315/70r17 General Grabber AT/X's on my Taco that have been good for the ~10k since I put them on.

Ive had KO2s in smaller sizes before with no problems - so it’s probably the larger size. I also discovered online, a lot of complaints lately about the KO2s. Some OffRoad shops won’t even sell them now.

my buddy just switched to generals cause the problems with his. I’ve heard the 285 c rating are the only ones you should buy now a days….we’ll for a midsize truck

They said that in the very beginning. I’m the one that convinced them to power on. Ive just read this morning that a lot of shops are sending KO2s back to BFG.

Those General Grabber AT/X's I mentioned are a pretty good all around tire. Good in snow, quiet on the highway, good in dry offroad conditions, tough enough to count on in the backcountry. The only places they are not great are on ice (coming from a studded dedicated winter tire) and in mud (but nothing highway friendly ever is). I've never tried them in sand, and I can't talk about tread life yet.

That’s good to know, I will consider them. I really like the Cooper ST Maxx also. I need something that will do well on wet pavement
