LOL. The local news is reporting that you should plan to see and hear more fireworks this summer. The news woman said a fireworks factory in OH is reporting they have just about sold out, with people wanting to make up for the lack of fireworks last year. Time to find the little dog a place to hide when the neighbors let them fly.

What lack of fireworks? People were setting them off for like a month straight last year..

Good morning all! Here's hoping everyone has a safe week.

Fireworks have been near constant in my area. At least once a week. I have had to unfollow a couple community message boards because every few days I get a dozen alerts for people reporting gunshots (which are actually just fireworks and turboed cars backfiring) I do love setting off fireworks, but yeah much better to leave it for Independence Day or a Phillies win :)

Watched "In Harm's Way" for Memorial Day. They don't make 'em like they used to! You can quote me on that!

I was trying to find another movie that covered the battle with the Yamato and US destroyers who were basically on a suicide mission but I could not recall the name.

Also watched the remake of Midway. bleh :( Same quote applies.

Seems everyone thinks any day off of work is a reason for fireworks.
Especially yesterday, no one understands that it's a solemn day of remembrance. Not a cause to celebrate.

Yea I caught a few also. Love the ww2 stuff. I also watched one called 36 hours with James Garner , it was more of a mystery than action but very interesting. Even the wife was into it.

Sorry to hear this... I don’t know this car but seems maybe like a nice one... just as long as the timing belt has been done.... :fingerscrossed:

    Thanks!

She went to look at it. Smells like tobacco smoke inside according to her, which is a complete non-starter. The guy claims to be able to eliminate it. I am a non-smoker and I have never known of that to be actually done.

I've run an ozone machine in a vehicle overnight with all the windows closed and that successfully removed the smoke odor.

Ozone machines are definitely the way to go to eliminate an odor such as this. I’ve had a lot of experience with restoration companies who purchase these from me. They are not inexpensive machines but I believe they can be rented.

I did this on my last truck (F150) and it helped quite a bit but didn't completely get rid of it. The final step for me was to pull the air vents and run a long duster through the ducts. I was surprised how much ash came out. Little spray of Ozmium as deep as I could go in the ducts and the smell was hardly noticeable.

That said, I've found that most cars that have been heavily smoked in have also not been super well taken care of. Not always the case, but a higher percentage.
