I am trying to decide what to get for ditch lights. Cali has a very nice LED pod and bracket including wiring harness and switch. KC lites appears to have good quality on their C series lights and they also have their own ditch brackets for the Tacoma. Not sure what to get since I have no experience with any of these manufacturers. Please help me decide.

KC is a reputable brand that has been around for many years with a very good warranty.

Stay TF sway from caliraised. Buy Baja designs, rigid or any other quality brand . Or even diode dynamics.

Bolts rusting is disappointing for sure. Thanks for your input.

I really like the KC lights. I think I am getting closer to my final decision.

I installed BD amber fogs on my Tacoma. I agree, I probably should not install CaliR. I haven’t seen anything from BD, but KC might be the winner. I’ll have to research more in Baja Design’s ditch lights.

    diode dynamics for the win.

I have the SS3 Pro in yellow for fog lights and SS3 Sport in yellow for ditch lights

I have Baja Design fogs, and a Cali Raised led bar. I’ve actually been very pleased with my Cali Raised light bar... but if those are your options, there’s no comparison. At all, whatsoever. In my opinion it’d be like comparing a Cadillac to a Kia. KC all the way versus Cali Raised.

When you get the chance, could you share a pic of your installed DD ditch lights on your Tacoma?

This right here, the things they sell (even some of the metal mounts) have been proven to be cheap chinese parts that they just slap their name on. You can get many of the things they sell right on Amazon for 1/3 the price... and its the same part.

    https://caliraisedled.com/products/42-amber-white-dual-function-led-bar
This bar is just a lightronic light bar, they sell on amazon for about $150 and includes the wire harness. Caliraised sells the same bar, but they remove the harness and make you buy it for another $60.

55 inch version of caliraised 42 inch

@5nahalf This explains exactly what BalutTaco has mentioned from his previous post. Rusting bolts.

rigid side shooters do a 2 in 1 cube. Best of both worlds for trail driving at night.

The best option for the money is Diode Dynamics for quality vs cost

    KC has a 28-year warranty.
Caliraised is 1 or 2 year.
That's about all you need to know.

Buy a set of KC and you can guarantee that you'll be installing them on the next truck you have, and the next one after that.

Also I'm really happy with DD

@5nahalf Thanks for the heads up on Cali merchandise. It is alarming to me. Glad I asked for input before the purchase.
