Rad thanks for this! I'm trying to get shipping times from the manufacturer.

Looks like they're the same part -- why not get the one listed for Toyota for a regular steering wheel? Ie why choose the Subaru one if I have OEM controls? What did you purchase

All-in-all, watching the video, it looks like a fairly simple install. How did it go?

I have the 949 racing version with the steering wheel wire extension (the BRZ/FT version and Tacoma version are the same part, same with the wiring extension). The install is easy once you logically work out the airbag wire reroute.

I'm so glad that I found this thread. It's funny because 949racing is a company I am very familiar with due to owning a Miata. Never would have thought that I would be installing their parts on my Tacoma. The 949racing spacer on my 2021 TRD OR fit perfectly and was super easy to install and now I can sit comfortably against the seat instead of hunching over to reach the steering wheel. As referenced above, make sure to get the wire extensions.

I contacted them and they confirmed there is no difference between the two kits.

Sorry for the long wait. Here are the promised pictures. Testing out the Album Media. If it works I will be editing the post so it makes sense. Feel free to ask any questions in the meantime.

I had a 2 inch extension in my 3rd gen Tacoma, but removed it when I sold the truck. This was by far the best mod ever. $225 shipped if you want it.

This!!! Along with my Scheel Mann seats, this x 10!

The Scheel Mann seats are A) 2" lower than the stock seats so I can see out the windshield, B) are way more comfortable, and C) will still fit the captains chair armrest on the left side of the drivers seat.

Went from the tall brown Scheel Mann Vario F to the standard size. Don't have the armrest on the black/short seat yet.

Got mine installed. I agree with @Ridethisbike - wish it were only 1 inch deep instead of 2". Its too far from the turn signal post AND feels just a little too extended. But driving position is nice.
