Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I do not think this has been talked about yet, but CoinBase Pro has listed DOGE on it now.

I'm guessing you can transfer in, but you can't buy yet.

In CBP, I don't see a listing for DOGE in markets or portfolio.

Yeah I see big potential possibly because it’s been held back so hard during this bull run with the lawsuit. Be interesting to see the outcome of the suit hopefully soon.

Definitely. So far almost everything in the discovery has gone ripples way. Good signs so far. IMO I think it will end in a settlement, it’s just a matter of how long that will take. I am aiming for $10-13 price target.

Is the something I could be doing better with my very limited crypto skills and investments?
I am using Coinbase and I drop in $10 here, $20 there once/twice a week...as my fun money allows I am not moving thousands of dollars.
I have a split between BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC and a few others....
I also have a Coinbase wallet, and a BTC wallet....

Are there other apps that could help manage this better?
I see the entire market is taking a hit at the moment amongst the major currencies... should I move these I have today elsewhere?

Just looking for some potential pointers, tips, tricks?

Or feel free to tell me to just shut the front door and just leave it alone.

I am in no way anything approaching a huge player in crypto, but a few things I think you could do would get the rewards on coinbase (watch videos, answer questions, get free crypto... convert of keep as is). I think I made about $40 (which is a big percentage compared to teh $100 I've transferred there).

The other thing would be to take a look at the stakable cyrptos on coinbase. I consolidated a lot of that free crypto I got from teh rewards into Algo as it was the only one that I saw a significant amount of reward due to staking.

The only other thing I'm doing is buying/selling doge on Webull, but again, it's pennies I'm making. It's just some silly fun on the side I like doing. I have no illusions that either of these are going to produce FU money for me.

Yeah, I did all that and got the freebies and put some of them toward BTC.

Seems like I just need to not take too much from the market dive at the moment and let the dip, dip, and wait for a potential uplift.

get coinbase pro and it'll cut down your fees. you can transfer back and forth between coinbase and coinbase pro for free. i keep my ALGO on coinbase (for the 6% APY) and everything else in pro.

Hi all, taco n00b here, recent new TW member, I found this longtime crypto thread. I started in BTC in 2013.

It was already too late to mine on consumer hardware (I fried a laptop mining LTC). I was an early adopter of a new one, PrimeCoin. It actually had a use case. I grabbed a couple of junk servers from work, mined for a few months. It went away, but I was able to flip it for .5 BTC, now, very well worth the trouble and electricity.

My recommendation now? Don't chase the alts. BTC is the Old One. If you are technically inclined and think that some alt has a valid use case, then by all means, get involved. Most crypto has a good community, if you can help, do so!

Don't fall in to the trap of "Ooh, one Bitcoin is so expensive, I'll do this one for ten cents". Crypto can be divided into millionths. $20 in one crypto is the same as $20 in another.

When MtGox was a thing, I had a balancing bot running locally (Linux). I could set a spread, it would buy/sell to my advantage much better than I could. It ran 24/7 with no intervention from me. Gox went away, Mark Karpeles owes me (!!!) I am officially a creditor in the Japanese court system. I will probably only get 21% return, but that's better than nothing. Mark K. stole 5.22 BTC from me....

I am a fan of DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging). I quit smoking cigarettes, and put that same amount of $$$ into BTC monthly. People that want to chase the market hard often don't have much of a life, otherwise. DCA lets me sleep easy, no alarms to wake me.

For the USA I would recommend Coinbase, they jumped through many, many hoops to be legal in all 50 states. I was involved in BTC-E (.com), that was sketchy, got my BTC out before the FBI did a very strange bust there. Registered in Cypress, servers were in Bulgaria, the owners were in .RU, other things were likewise obscured. I wasn't doing anything wrong, I was using TOR, no way to track back to me, but it was still scary. Gemini is good (Winklevoss Twins did very good there), and Kracken is a good international one as well.

I was a lucky early adopter, I paid off 10 years of house payment, except for monthly electricity/internet/groceries, I am debt-free, thanks to BTC. I pay US Income Tax on my gains, never want to be looking over my shoulder, I'm all up front on my BTC sales.

One thing I would recommend for crypto newbies? Figure out an offline stash, be it paper or hardware wallets. Name them by year, and if you sell, only sell from a wallet that is over 365 days old. For USA (at least), the tax is perhaps half on long-term cap gains tax, compared to short-term.

I am old, and recently retired from Real Work. I am not wealthy, my 2008 Taco is the newest vehicle I own! I burned most of my BTC stash paying off my house, yet I still buy a small, fixed amount every week.

Just saw that... Coinbase says it is not a supported asset.
How you get in on that?

services like simplswap and others carry it, just find one. I occasionally mine it but it takes so long to confirm its easier to nicehash and buy it.

    quoted from bitcointalk.org earlier today:

If anyone here is keeping an eye on the mempool like I am you would have noticed a huge increase in transactions today. For the last few weeks we have pretty much been running empty blocks. Number of transactions in the pipeline has been sitting below 2000 for a good portion of the time and often into the hundreds at certain stages.

Well, today the number of transaction rocketed up to over 40,000 (currently above 20k). This could mean 2 things, someone has spammed the network in a massive way after the El Salvador announcement to make it look like demand for Bitcoin has returned. Or demand has actually returned. Considering the bounce in the price it may very well be the second option. To see if we get any follow through on this recent event we should see continued high transaction numbers. Keeping an eye on new short-term holder addresses is also a good way to confirm the demand, an increase in these addresses would mean an increase in demand for BTC again.

Some good explanations, IMO, for this current pullback:
