FCD65D2C-D4D1-42F2-B7EC-B538A0F7EABD.jpg Summited Mt. Bierstadt today. Bierstadt prenounced Beer Stat which is german for “beer right now”.

This peak had some decent exposure. A lot of wind, pretty cold (toes and fingers were feeling it at the top). My North Face thermoball parka held up super well. That jacket is the bomb.

Snow is fun AF. I wouldn’t want to do any of these climbs in the summer with no snow cover.

I soaked the heels in Thousand Island for an hour last night and taped directly with KT Tape and they held up just fine :)

The mountain was so cold, windy, abd honestly freaked me out a bit because of the sheer cliff on the backside, I forgot to drink my beer at the top lol

Got a little lost in the mountains and dropped the front end on some boulders a few times. Exploring the area around the new city.

Better the skid than the oil pan. Although my frame is a little bent too.

As promised a Leukotape report...of sorts. Or at least just a short one. I loved it. Worked perfectly. Taped over some healing skin from a big blister on the bottom of my heel and then put some on some spots that usually just get rubbed and feel raw for a couple of days. Feet feel great today. As does the rest of my body.Tack on about a mile and 500 feet. I forgot to restart my watch after I put my microspikes on. Training/yoga works kids:

    Nice!! Solid mileage!

The tape directly on the skin helps immensely. Unfortunately after the tape being on my heels all day the hives started. But got the climbs done so its all worth it!

I need to see if someone makes adhesive free tape but Ive heard it pretty much sucks.

Thanks! Been working on them with some shea butter, 1000 island dressing, and an angle grinder. Maybe I need to get an Only Fans site set up. :jerkoff::bananadance:

The adhesive bled through the tape and into my socks as well. Think I still have some on the bottoms of my feet two days and three showers later. What about Liquid Skin?

As far as I know thats liquid adhesive which reacts worse and faster than band aids for me.

At least I know if it happens I’m good for a short exposure time like a day. I was wearing band aids every day and it took 3 days to start causing trouble (again I take tons of allergy meds too which helps). So for an ultra if I needed it I’d be OK.
