Im running the newer all cast spcs. I really like the summit Dakar’s that have 4 inch back spacing but also like my race line 950b gauges a lot and 4 spacers and extended threads are definitely cheaper than 5 new wheels. I don’t think I want to deal with 35x12.5s, but 315s sound manageable.

I’ve seen this. That’s not bad and will just rub the paint off. Looks like you might need minor caster adjustments but I wouldn’t worry about it.

This is exactly where my wheels specs would be if I got .5 spacers. What exact tire and size are you running?

Sorry to ask you a couple questions in a row but you said will clear uca frame and cab mount. My cab mount clearance looks to be the same as yours, but it appears you have trimmed your fenders and removed the liners. I am curious what areas of the fenders were an issue and prompted you to trim them. Since op has the same back spacing and didn’t find it necessary I was curious. TIA!

When you hit full bump with wider 35s, you’ll make contact with the flare. You can get away with it if you trim the inside, but you’ll want to space your bumpstop up

You can run 10.5” wide 35s and not rub without fender cuts

If I go the skinnier route I would do the 35x11.5s, same width as my current 285s just two inches taller. Are you running a 315/70/r17 or a 35x12.5x17?

Didn’t mean to spark a debate here but y’all’s twos difference of opinion is partially what sparked my questioning. I’ll cut liner down a lot and have already, already cut the cab mount. Just don’t really want to cut fenders/bedsides, deal with making my own liners.

Here's a couple photos if it helps. You choose. You only have so much up travel. I've never once hit my fender flare or the top of the fender liner in all of my offroading. Do you foresee yourself in this situation?

Some excellent shots. To be honest with the new baby and my work schedule I haven’t really been able to get my tacoma out there like I would like to. My FJ I got in situations like that almost every weekend for a couple years. If you haven’t cut fenders on 4 inch back spacing I think I might send it for the 35x12.5s and .5 spacers. I think if you be gotten it that flexed out with no issues I shouldn’t be worried about it!

Wait.... how? Mine hit pretty good and I have wheelers with the 3/8th spacer in them.

Then I got more uptravel than you. I did all of Moab and rubbed the shit out of the fender liners. Me and a lot of others.

You ran Pritchett Canyon? Let's see some pics besides the dirt roads. I'd love to see that heavy camper on Cliffhanger or Moab Rim

    Wider than a 12.5?

    I've never measured, maybe 5-6"

I’ll save myself time going on my computer and give you a better example

There’s no way you’re tucking that tire without touching fender liner. And if you are, there’s uptravel to be had. On both of my trucks, I was about 1/2”-1/4” from the actual wheel well.

If you’re important enough to me I’ll remember when I get home  Just to please you

Hard to just admit you’re losing uptravel. Suck it up and go measure and see for your yourself.
