Yes but if it’s worn you should replace it

The idler is aluminum. It's designed to be a wear item by urd so you have to replace it. Same with the pulleys. If they were steel, I would be happier but the companies would not make as much money. That is why they stopped offering them in steel. You will have to replace the idler before it wears all the way through and causes bigger problems. Get the gates belt. It is much better quality than any other belt I have seen for our superchargers and it is not that costly.

Didn't miss it. Implied it in my explanation. If your idler is worn out, then you need to replace it. Nothing will negate the effects of a worn out idler. Replace the full pulley (and bearings) or the bearings inside it. @1997tacomav6 was referring to your belt and what to replace it with.

I drove my truck up into the Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico for a wheeling trip. All the way from 600’ to 10,000’ and the supercharger did great. I was making 4PSI at 8600’ while overtaking slow cars on the highway with ease. Money well spent! I did observe it running rich cruising above 70mph. I usually only drive it 70 and below on account of the wind and road noise being so loud, but this trip the convoy was moving 75mph. I guess I need to adjust the 7th injector to get the AFRs back to 14.7 at those speeds. I was only getting 200 miles to a tank of gas because it was running 13.8 AFR continuously. Otherwise, I observed no pinging and the truck ran great for the whole 1280 mile trip.

Definitely something the 7th is good for, smaller pulley. Works well for it.

Hey guys, gonna chime in, so I quit losing the thread:rofl:I have an 01 Xprerunner that has a 1st Gen sc. I’m putting dual cases in right now, and got lucky and found a set of TRD headers with a full exhaust. It was a wrecked truck out of California, a green extended cab, that had the sc, these headers, and was in damn good shape. Til it was wrecked, anyways. My buddy is putting the 3.4 in his 91 pickup, the headers didn’t work, so I bought it all. I’m catching up on my reading in the thread, so I’ll be up to current events soon.

Did you also get the catback with the headers? Seemed implied but no pics. Loving that you're joining us here in SC land.

Though I do wish it was a little bit more of a BS thread as well like the Turbo BS thread in performance...

I’ll get some pics of the rest of it tomorrow. It’s a magnaflow muffler, with what looks to be stock cat/resonator(?), with the 2 bolt TRD flange welded to it. Definitely not the borla, but still should sound and perform ok.

I’m def looking to go to a water/meth kit for this thing soon.

Congratulations on a great find! As I was reading your post I began imagining the end would say...and I want to sell the TRD headers. Talk about dashing my hopes and dreams!

Fortunately the PO installed the TRD headers on my truck so I didn't have to go through this nightmare haha.

Congrats on the find, I really enjoy these headers...nice sound that isn't obnoxious and compliments the boosted 3.4l nicely.

I had the catback as well but had to cut it off at the axle after hitting it one too many rocks. Was a lot louder when it was whole
