I'm so proud of you guys, brings a tear to my eye.

Wonder why your license was denied? Weird, if you don't have one in time I really wouldn't worry about it.

Agreed...GMRS is a "family" license, so one of us can claim @Atl-atl as a brother for the weekend.

I think it was because the payment portion of the website timed out and I never got to pay, forgot about it and then never went back in to try to pay so they sent me a denial letter.

    Same...

Made progress on my 60% rear seat delete today...still need to carpet and install L-tracks on each end. Will likely cut back the 45 more depending on the track fitment.
Fridge is about 5" lower than it was with the seats folded...woot! :bananadance:

I thought about putting my frige behind the front seats but I'm concerned about there being enough room.
I'm finished my screen project today.

Developed a leak after replacing the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, fan support and radiator.
I disassembled it for inspection, not sure if it was the thermostat gasket or the oil cooler line.
But after reassembly, it doesn't leak.

    Getting excited!

Wanted to ask, will anyone still be CB only? I have my module installed in my truck still and can run CB alongside GMRS to relay info to anyone who doesn't have GMRS. If there isn't anyone I won't bother, but if there is, and you want to stay connected via comms, let me know and I'll run em both.

To confirm, @Sixthelement and I will be arriving Thursday evening at the campsite we left off at in early 2020. It's along NF 203 that Danny referenced in the first post, though I am not sure if his pin is exactly where our camp was (correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyone who wants to start Thursday night is welcome to join. Let me know so we can share contact info so we can all get to the same camp.

Since the trip is getting really close, can we confirm more detailed campsite coordinates for thurs/fri/sat night? I think this would help people determine if they can make the trip on any given night.

Anyone drop a pin for the camp spot we camped last time? (This is for early Thursday night campers). The spot I linked for Friday morning is not where we camped last time. It’s the first turn out when the AZBDR hits dirt in that area.

I wasn’t able to scope out a spot for Friday night ahead of time. But we’ll be looking for dispersed camping at the mongollon rim. We’ll be coordinating together and after we get a spot I may need to drive to cell reception to give it to anyone else who needs it who is coming later Friday night.

The issue is that it’s a little unclear “exactly” where we’ll be camping until we get there. Specifically because the desired campsite will vary depending on our size at the moment and local conditions.

but I’ll be sure to keep in contact with everyone.

I like this approach. Let's us be more flexible, especially if there is still daylight and the groups desire to cover more ground. I too would like to finish the AZBDR this year.

I’ve updated on the first page who has told me they have GMRS ready.

Awesome, thanks Danny. Looks like most of us!

Also, if anyone cares, I will have an activated Garmin inReach Explorer+ just in case of emergencies (Will has one too)
