Bilstein 5100’s with ome 881 coils on lowest setting, JBA upper control arms, LCE header, 31x10.5x15 falken wildpeaks.
that’s the coil I want! But with the bilstein 5100 shock. So it’ll give me quite a bit of lift since I’m a little lighter than yours. I might wanna go with 881’s huh??

I think if you had a single cab the 881s could probably get you where you want to be but since you’re extended I don’t think the 882s would be too much? Other members probably have better experience than me regarding what to go with for single/extended cabs and v4/v6 motors. Also depends how much lift you want. I have 285/70/17r on Toyo AT 2s

I have JBA uppers so as much lift as I can get and still be in spec for alignment. Thanks for the info!

3” lift, 265/75R16, fender flares, tinted windows
Hi everyone, newbie to the group here. I had my ‘99 Taco lifted 3” several years ago and replaced the original 15” wheels with 16” Ultras and Mickey Thompson’s. I wasn’t aware that going up 1” would affect the power as much as it did. I see lots of posts on here where some folks have done this (some increased by 2”). Did any of you do anything to increase the power or do you just live with it? On most steeper highway grades, it have to go into 4th gear since it won’t hold cruise speed in 5th. I’m going to need new tires eventually and was hoping for a cheaper workaround than buying new 15” wheels. I thought of going with a lower profile tire (such as 225’s), but think it would look pretty bad with doughnut tires. I also don’t need a tread as aggressive as the Mickeys since I don’t do any muddin’, but also don’t want regular street tires, leaning toward BFG’s. Any advice you guys can offer is greatly appreciated.
Here are pics of the pre/post lift.

    Stock 2021 TRD OR Wheels.
    Falken WildPeak 235/85R16 (31.7").
**Since this image, the stock back bumper was replaced with a High Clearance (Stout) bumper.

    Planned
    SPC UCA's. 34's planned. 33's at minimum.
I like the skinny tires, so I'm hoping I can find a taller tire.
Who knows, I may have to step up-to a 17" wheel.

    In Progress
Rock Sliders w/kick-outs were ordered and should arrive any time.
The stock front bumper is being replaced with a Chassis Unlimited "Octane" Winch Bumper. (Ordered)

    Miscellaneous
In the back, is a matching spare, On-Board air, High-Lift jack and recovery gear.
Carry Basket (or something) is planned for the top of the canopy.

They are toytec coils and they are set at the bottom setting.
    This is the complete kit:

I’m thinking of doing the 2881’s with extended top hat studs because I’m gonna put 1/4” spacer on passenger side and 3/8” spacer on driver side. Right now I have 2880 coils on bottom setting of 5100’s and I want like an inch higher in front.

but instead of me screwing with the coil and taking it off I can get all new 5100’s with 881 coils for $500 and sell mine for $380. So really I’m in it $120 and by the time I rent the coil compressor tool and my time, it’s cheaper to buy it new.
