    It’s probably on C20 which is supported. Make sure you or your tuner don’t update to C21. There may be a tendency to see an “outdated” calibration and apply the CUW. Don’t do that because C21 is not supported yet.

    So I got my KDMAX tune a few weeks ago. Got my 500 miles in for breakin. Chris had mentioned that ECT Power mode was now like "Whiplash" mode. Previously I ALWAYS drove the truck with ECT on as I refused to drive it otherwise, just too lame. Now with the KDMAX tune, I started driving without ECT on and it was a good thing. Turn ECT on and get a bit more throttle response and the gears wind a bit longer. I used ECT back on for about a week then the next week I kept it off. I have realized I do NOT "have" to use it anymore so just quit turning it on.

    I can now get in my truck and drive it without having to think about how it is going to drive. It is so refreshing to be able to do that now. When I first got this truck I told my closest friends I would pay someone $1K if they would put my old 2nd Gen engine and transmission in this new truck. After the KDMAX tune, I now tell them hey I found someone to do my engine swap for only $300 and I am as happy as I can be now! Thank you, Chris and PappaRee!

    @45longcolt

    Which throttle setting did you get? Reg or premium gas?

    I'm close to biting the bullet. I also been driving with ECT on all the time.

    I’m agreeing with you on ECT use. I only use ECT for the towing situation. Have no need during normal driving conditions. This SLT tune is way better after 500 or so miles than when first tuned and I thought it was the best then.

    OVTune is the best of the best. KDM6 makes it better.

    I got the regular gas tune with LT tip-in. I have He** getting my truck in my garage and must creep slowly going in so I do not knock a mirror off ( glad they mostly snap back together, ask me how I know ) and glad I got the LT tip-in over the regular tip-in. I have noticed with ECT on while trying to creep the added throttle response doesn't help to get in the garage and can tend to jump a bit if the gas pedal isn't massaged correctly.

    All VF/OVTune related info is already on their own forum. TW mods were simply tired of all the work they had to put in moderating the various OV threads. Totally get it and now things can all be in one place outside of TW.

    This doesn’t change support for this tune (which comes directly from the creators here in the OP) or VF Tuner in any way. Just what’s posted on this forum by Mat and associates.

    I'd recommend the KD Max tune. I went with regular LT and it's becoming a much smoother truck. I wasn't looking for major performance jump, just better shifting and improved mpgs, though the performance seems better too.

    Closing in on 4-500 miles since the tune and it feels much less twitchy on initial pedal input from a stop.

    It's just that simple. We have had talks with Mat in the past about his online discussions with members on the open forum. He was never going to be a vendor on TW/Tundras/4Runners...etc and he has his own site to have the long dawn out fighting that always seems to happen.

    Mat is passionate and believes in his work, but takes someone talking crap about his product to a whole new personal level. You just can't do that on an open forum and think it's productive in any way.

    We also booted @GreyBaldTaco for always instigating these online arguments on TW.

    Not even close.

    Thankfully all the discussion has moved to his site.
