Confused at how toyota is throwing "lifts" on tacomas with the needle bearing still going out on them... I'm sure they've done extensive testing so I'm just speculating over here lol

Hell. I've seen my MPGs take a hit from decent side winds.

My needle bearing was tossing out intermittent steady and at other times oscillating vibes on the stock suspension. It was always subtle and went away just before the 5k service and came back after I swapped the diff lube at 7k. Finally after about 35k or so, it is completely gone.

I think it is just the nature of the beast for this front diff design. Lifting it a bit higher than the Pro most likely changes nothing from the earlier TSB work that they have been doing.

In that OEM lift kit thread, I think it's not legal in certain states to have them on a lifted of truck?

Take about 10 mins to install or uninstall. Just reinstalled mine yesterday but it took me about an hour because I stripped a screw in the bed rail, I strongly recommend Irwin screw extractors system LOL.

No HID headlights? When is Toyota going to make that standard for a $35K+ truck? It’s embarrassing

How much is this trail edition going to cost? Toyota says less than the 2022 Pro. I think the trail, is going to retail somewhere above 50k. Locker, TRD shocks, and those wheels.

Height from ground legalities would be my guess. It's the only thing that makes sense, but I'm just guessing.

Just below the OR is where this thing is gonna land. I'd put my guess around 40k, give or take a couple.

OR starts at $35k. Pro at $45k. How would the trail be above $50k unless the 2022 TRD Pro goes up significantly? Also where did you see it has any upgraded shocks? I think they're stock/standard and only OR and Pro get upgraded shocks. I see nothing on the press release about shocks and they look bog standard (not Bilsteins or Pro) in video.

I bet this goes between SR5 and Off Road. 2021 SR5 is $28k and OR is $35k so I bet this fits in around the sport pricing so my guess is ~$32-33k. At least I hope. Might be able to build the rig I want under $40k which is a significant improvement from my $65k Bronco I was going to get.

ETA: 2021 Trail 4x4 was $37k and this one is better but I don't see it selling well if they price it above $40k. Why wouldn't people just get the OR or spend more for the Pro at that point?

I have seen 21 trails listed anywhere between 37k to 41k give or take, and that has been with in this past year. Which isn't any kind of indicator as how much a 21 trail would cost.

I don't see the 22 trail components costing much, anything more than what is not going on the 22 SR5. I can see a 45k MSRP being a realistic price.

The trail is and was in a weird place between the SR5 and OR.

It’s actual leather where you sit. Bolsters and back of seats are synthetic.

I was counting on the Pro MSRP being around 55k to start, maybe a bit more.

Edit SR SX V6 was at a 33k MSRP. Now the 2.7 SX is that price.

I think the OR will be moved up in price to put the trail where the OR used to be so people pay the same amount of money for fewer features.

Woof, $55k for a Pro is a lot to take in. That's $10k over what the website has for a 2021 Pro right now. And, if you're right about $45k for a trail, I'd prolly just get a loaded OR at $45k instead and add wheels/tires/lift.

Am I getting my prices from the wrong site or are you in Canada or something?

    Edit: I think I get it - SR5 with 4x4 and DCSB and V6 is $35.5k.

Damn things are getting pricey. That’s more than a full years salary for a lot of people here in the US, to say nothing of tax and gas and everything else.
