    Hey mates,

the other day I noticed that on my passenger side headlight some foam/seal was sticking out (see picture) went to Toyota and they seem to have a hard time figuring out what it exactly is and if it’s possible to just order this part, should be still under warranty since I just purchased this truck last year, does anyone know what the part is called and if it is possible to just replace this seal?

That looks to me like the brush from a automatic car wash. I had a car that would get chunks of the brush stuck in the trim if I ever used the car wash.

You cannot order just that part. That's probably a good thing because if you don't know what you're doing taking a housing apart, you'll do more harm than good.

Since it's under warranty, the dealer should just order you a new headlight housing.

Yeah this straight looks like some foreign phlegm that got lodged there. Headlights aren’t sealed with foam.

Or idk if the 3rd gens have it but maybe some foam tape along where the light meets the fender to prevent rubbage.

I mean just look at these brushes... they look the same as whats in the headlight (color is different, but they do have black ones)
