I know this is Tacoma World, and all. I haven't seen much talk about the Toyota EV news from yesterday day. There seems to be more interest around the outgoing body on frame trucks.

I suspect it'll be in the low $40's. The 2021 Trail was around 38k starting for 4WD. Wheels and other elements are not as expensive to add on a manufacturing level than it is after the fact.

Also, it appears to have taller springs but uses the same SR5 shocks. Fastlane Truck got under the wheel well and it wasn't the factory lift kit under there. I suspect it'll be an attractive alternative to the TRD Off Road in terms of price.

I did hear them specifically mention the springs, and not shocks. Pricing should be with in reason.

The Ranger isn't a Tacoma, but the Ranger XL STX with a locker is under 40k, and can be found for less than MSRP for a 4door.

“The Toyota Tacoma will also get a new generation soon, and electrification is surely part of its future. It remains to be seen whether the Taco will get a hybrid or all-electric powertrain (or both), but it will be one of the first midsize trucks in the U.S. to get some kind of electrification. Rumor has it that the next-get Tacoma will share its platform with the Tundra, so we could see both trucks getting battery electric and hybrid powertrains.”

I just called my dealer to reserve a pro... no price yet but I will be the first call as I told them I'm ready to pay a reserve... plus doesn't help I've bought several trucks from then already. Reserving lime metallic manual transmission.

That looks like the Hilux rugged X edition my father was trying to get from Australia.

Walmart bikes can live upside down or in the bushes. Once you go carbon fiber and drop 7-10k for a bicycle you tend to store em a little different. Those bikes pictured were bushes and dirt worthy. :)

Since 2021, all V6 models get the same base head model as the TRD Offroad and Sport. They are essentially adding what were selling features of the old premium models to the moderately optioned models. Same goes for dual zone climate control. Seems like Toyota is trying to rake in as much as they can by making many premium features standard now. The TRD OR is no longer going to be very special if they don't apply the same lift spec and tires applied to the Trail.

    $50K ‘truck’, couple’a $10K bikes, inflatable couch, faux campfire…

might be cheaper to buy a house and watch camping shows on cable.
