Yup totally agree. Could of been handled differently. Probably bit more than he could chew with the initial preorders. With my 3rd gen, it’s beginning to be a pattern of waiting for parts. Ordered wheels in December and still not here lol. I mean I even waited for this truck for 6 months til it’s arrival.

Looks like it was because of people starting up too much drama. Should help OV build up their forum and get a solid knowledge base going. I like that simple google searches help me find my way around on the haltech.

    What a train wreck.

Not getting a response in less than a week was the first stop, then a vf forum admin tries to tell him to chill, then OVT talks shit and then gets worse when the bashers show up then everyone has happy feelings for each other again. WTF and that's the first two pages

This is why I bought a ranger and not a 3rd gen

You know you are big when you get a mob of people trying to troll on your company. I honestly think it is for the best for OV while they are still building their brand. Those threads are mostly just crap.

Honestly I see it a lot in 3rd gen forum. 2nd gen I had zero issues. Just a bunch of chill guys in the 2nd gen of things. 3rd Gen side I see more whining than I do at Napa valley, and that’s not because of the 3rd gen issues.

Generational differences playing a small role too perhaps? Who knows.

I wonder how hard it would be for someone like me to make some turbo headers, without them being cast, and have them be able to handle the fulcrum weight of the turbos, over years of use? Would have to be at least .120" wall.

I need a 2TR on that note.....lol. Get a header mocked up and jig made.

Wanna make some 5VZ ones while you're at it, cause I'm lazy and probably just gonna make my own J-pipe instead of a whole new header haha

I don’t think the 2gr ones can be flipped since it’s mirrored. Maybe chopped and with a 90 and vband? Or even making a single kit might be easier swapping the “headers” on each side and making it merge in front.

Making a "J-pipe", would be your best bet.

Simple is always good! Especially if the wastegate is on the exhaust housing. Nice job on that BTW. Shoot I would love to have a single kit lol

You need a 2tr you say? I've got one torn apart and can put my hands on another one in short order.

Hey guys I’ve been lurking here for a while. I got my regear done today and added a oil drain while the diff was out. It’s capped for now but it’s my first turbo mod.B1D82484-2AD7-4760-AC42-AFD7677C0A8A.jpg

We all start somewhere. At least you've actually installed parts on your truck now, unlike me with a small shrine to the turbo gods waiting to be put to use.

It appears I've got a bit of an oil leak somewhere around my driver side turbo. Idk where exactly. Topside of everything and the turbo is clean. Aide and bottom is coated in a thin slim/mixture of oil with dust/dirt.

Leak isn't bad enough to drip to the ground but it's just there. Going to clean it up and then put in some engine oil dye (that shit that shows up under UV light) and then drive for a few days to week and see what I see.
