TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Looking to supercharge my 2015. Anyone know of any vendors that have Magnuson in stock? I called Magnuson directly and they said 6-8 weeks out..

 

6-8 weeks sounds reasonable these days.

For what it's worth, several of the used ones that have been for sale end up costing more than new once you source all the missing pieces and model/year specific brackets, so definitely look for a new one.

 

Decided on the Maggy over the ProCharger after all?

 

I agree completely. You really don’t know what you’re buying used. Plus, you get a warranty if something is broken

 

After researching, I think the Maggy is less maintenance and seems to be very reliable.
I also like the instant torque and throttle response of a roots system. The Procharger is a sweet setup, but I would be using the powerband low and mid range instead of mid/top end.
I’ve already contacted Justin for guidance and tuning. Now, just need to find one..

 

Pretty sure all the Maggie are drop shipped as well and most people do not stock them unless they are a new vendor and were meeting their initial order commit which I believe is 3-5 S/C's. (I had looked into being one awhile back).

 

Damn.. ordered my Wilwoods last week.. expected shipment from Wilwood is July 9th. We'll see. Just gives me more time to take care of other stuff in the mean time.

 

URD replied back to me and said they are expecting a few kits coming in about 4 weeks. Looks like that’s my best option

 

Side note.....in terms of waiting for parts......Ripp coils should be ready soon

yah people be wanting a lot. likely needs some parts too. when i looked for a used it was more than a new one in the end. Also before I was on this thread too.

 

Also just noticed your tag line "how hard can it be?" ... that's something I say every day before tackling something new. Great words to live by. Need to get it on a t-shirt.
