I have 2 small handheld gmrs ill bring.They seem to have a decent rang if someone needs to borrow.

 

My 'Ham' will tune to GMRS. You can edit page 1 again if you want.

 

Which ones do you have? Like them? I’d like to grab a couple too.

Still need to do the MARS mod on mine at some point so I can TX on GMRS 15-22...

 

I have the midland ones that came in the bundle. I'll have to look at there # they were good for a 1/8 mile in the city non line of sight .

 

If anyone has to use a handheld. They can just be placed in the middle of pack. But looks most will be fine.

Just came across this thread. If y’all end up camping close enough to the cinders I might be able to come hang for the night or at least for a little bit. Got other stuff going on and can’t tag along. It it’s my backyard so I could possibly come hang out while you’re close by

 

Man your truck is FB famous . I've seen a video of you mobing at the cinders all over the place.

 

Will my Falken Wildpeaks make this one last AZBDR trip or should I get new tires before this adventure?

 

Thanks. It’s been an interesting week with that video going viral. Well I’m gonna put @Sixthelement and @MR E30 in charge of keeping me in the loop for this trip. If you’re camped close enough I’ll try to swing out and hang with you guys for a bit

 

I'm in the same boat, if the group camps out at Cinder Hills, I'll tag along. Can't be doing big trips for a while with my current schedule but I can at least come out over the weekend to see everyone while they're close by!

I called the Little Colorado River Tribal Park to get more information (928-679-2303) because they're in Cameron where we would be buying the permits. They said nobody is issuing backcountry permits at this time. But things are changing daily. He said to call back closer to next weekend and see.

But yea, worst case scenario we would take the 64 east to the 89 north through Cameron and then out of the reservation. He confirmed that that's ok to do. Without the permits we would be missing out on the off-roading section west of the 89.

 

Will we still be experiencing the 'Cinders' and 'Silt' sections?
