Statistically, lifespan will be somewhere between "equal to" and "less than" when compared to stock.

I've been running a set of CVs for at least 5 years with a 2.5inch lift. I wheel it moderately and have never had an issue. The boots will eventually go, but that's easy to fix with a boot kit and I dont' consider that a CV failure. I'm still running stock Tie rods and the original rack.

that's such an open ended question. Way to many variables to give an accurate time frame. I've seen CV axles and ball joints go bad on a stock truck under a 100k and some make it to 200k on a stock truck. Only thing you need to worry about is doing the needle bearing in the front diff.

Done it all ready. Just wondering if that tall of a lift will will take like 50,000 miles off on those parts

There's no way to tell. My truck has 90,000 miles on it now and I installed my lift about 70,000 miles ago. I haven't had any issues with the CVs or tie rods. I noticed a small leak on the steering rack about 15,000 miles ago but it hasn't gotten worse and I haven't needed to add fluid (moisture on the boot...maybe it is from spilling some oil when doing an oil change and not the rack).

Diff drops aren't recommended on the 2nd Gen if you wheel...search this forum and you'll find several posts from people that have cracked the front diff housing.

All depends how you drive your truck….stay smooth and slow on the highway and you will be ok.
