Its not just Habs fans , every other Canadian team's fans hate the Leafs

 

Even Leafs fans hate the Leafs right now. I could kind of care less about the NHL, even at the start of this years playoffs. Not motivated to sit down and watch a full 60 minutes. I probably won't watch a single game until fall. Follow it a bit, but that's it.

 

Canes put 32 shots on goal to 15 TB and still lose 2-1, Vasilevskiy was a beast. Tough loss.

I hate to say it but I can't get into that Canes/TB series. I started watching it and I just don't care lol. Turned it off and went and did other things. Sort of the same with Bruins/NYI. I'm usually not like that. Anyways, I'm excited for Jet/Habs and Col/Veg tonight though.

 

Canes/TB series is a slow burn for sure. Have a feeling it’s going to pickup next game with the Canes behind and feeling the pressure.

 

I actually enjoyed that game... not nearly as physical as the previous series... but its got some redeeming quality. TB goalie is beast mode. Bunch of grrrreat saves

 

I mean, they are great teams, no doubt. I don't doubt that it was good hockey but I just find both teams uninteresting. I used to like TB back when they first got that core together but now I just find them to be annoying. Really looking forward to the Price/Hellebuyck match-up this evening. And also hoping Vegas comes firing back after a bad loss.

That Scheifele hit on Evans was totally brutal , bet he's gone for at least 3 games

Yep. I'm a Jets guy but he made no effort to make a play. The stick was at his side and he trucked the guy as puck is going in the net. Bad decision and probably done out of frustration.

it was a hard hit, and I’m sure he wishes in retrospect that he didn’t do it, ....... but a few years ago players knew to keep their heads up. Skating toward another player who is chasing after you, and eyes down on the puck on your tape? I don’t know. Players are getting careless and not worrying about their own safety because they think the refs will keep them safe.

 

Evans was wrapping the puck into an open net , Scheifele made no play on the puck and pretty certain it was already in the net when he finished his charge

He has hearing with Player Safety , so seems they agree

 

Onus in the current rule book is on the player delivering the hit.

Yeah, I’m not saying he isn’t at fault as the rules define it. I’m just saying players are way less cognizant of keeping their heads up to make sure they don’t get run over.

now that the league is penalizing big open ice hits especially when there is contact to the head, players are quick to drop their head and look down because it’s hard to hit them without your shoulder hitting their bowed head. Players should keep their heads up and expect a hit when they have the puck.... not just hope everyone will play by the rules.

you get injured, they get a penalty. You were right and they were in the wrong. Great. That doesn’t fix a concussion.
