Lots of good shit popping up.

Thinking about selling off and grabbing something instead of building the Tacoma

My neighbor called me in a panic saying his truck wouldn't start, he has a 2001 Single Cab 5-Lug with the 2RZ-FE. Went over to look at it and it would only start and stay running if you stepped on the gas and held it at a higher RPM. As soon as you would let off the gas, it would die.

Dan said it could've been the IAC or the MAF. I unplugged the MAF and the damn thing idled fine. I went across the street to borrow the MAF from my truck and it runs totally fine. Shoutout to @Empty_Lord and @se7enine for coming up with the solution.

It had two codes after that debacle, MAF and IAC. I cleared it and it didn't come back, but the IAC code is troubling - it wasn't there before. So we'll see what happens once we put in a new MAF. My 1998 doesn't have an IAC for some reason.
