This is a "campaign" not a "recall". A recall involves some sort of safety issue.

That said...I've owned several white Toyota's over the years, 040 (Super White), 068 (Solid White), 070 (Blizzard Pearl)....never an issue.

    My '15 Taco...4.5 years old, 66k miles.

Received the same letter for my wife's Rav4. Paint has peeled off in so many places, it looks terrible. And its funny, i see Rav4s in white (hard to tell if blizzard or super while driving) everywhere now when i'm driving around but they have the same issues. Giant sections of body panels clear down to metal or primer. crazy. Curious what the repair recommendation will be?

Toyota repainted my uncle's little Scion earlier this year because the paint was peeling off in strips; it's white but I have no idea what Toyota calls the color. The paint on the early 2nd gens has always been noted to be thin from the start with the black being particularly bad about chipping. My '05 black sand pearl has little flaked spots all over my hood and it's windburned along leading edges; it stays outside but I try to keep it cleaned and waxed.

Wow. That'd be great. Our Speedway Blue 06 is awesome except for the shitty, sun-scorched roof.

My 05 Speedway blue is doing that on the roof, hood, and the door. But mostly the cab!

I had a Supra (I wish I still had it) painted in Mexico, Black w/gold metal flake. It was was stunning and of superb quality. But I was real wary of leaving my truck down there.

No money, all went to truck...
My clear coat on my gray truck has suddenly and very quickly, failed. It's amazing how quickly it is cracking, peeling and flaking. Like it just decided one day "I'm done!"

2012, purchased in October 2011. I worked real hard to keep the paint looking like new. Check this out, paint is like a mirror, zoom in on the snow reflection, and this is even after a day of wheeling.

2015 MGM on SoCal. Purchased 2 years ago with a certified warranty. I'm at 90k now, and this roof looks like shit, hood is going to go soon if you zoom in. Never did an auto car wash and I wash and waxed regularly. I took care of those truck.

    What are my options here?
