There was never a CUW that anyone found for 04B41. It was only factory ECU IDs or the new TSB that only goes to 04B42.

It should not be. It is incredibly rare for dealers to rando flash MTs.

Not sure if this was already answered, but does anyone know exactly where the cutoff between 04C20 and 04C21 is? I've confirmed a 05/2021 build date has it, and I think 03/2021 has 04C20, but I'm not exactly sure about 04/2021 builds. If anyone has access to info on where the cutoff is, maybe even by VIN# that would be cool until we can get the TSB (and the VFC file).

We have never gotten this kind of info in the past. Even the VIN codes in the TSBs are not 100% accurate.

Thanks! Didn’t hurt to ask. For sure I’m not tuning the 05/21’s, going to scan a 04/21 today to see what ECU he has.

Say I flashed OVtune on someone's 04B41 truck and then the dealer did the TSB update to 04B42 a few days later. Is there any way to go back to 04B41 to reflash OVtune or do they just have to wait until the new tune pack is released???

No, you need 04B42 tune pack.

If you bought a B41 from OVTune I think you can email them for a free update.

Don’t quote me on it though

Tune packs for b42 aren’t available until 1.3 is released

Yep. That's why you have to shut a/v as instructed until activation is complete.

No problem. If you a/v is stable, you don't have to worry about it when flashing. I use Win Defender and it has been fine when flashing.

I'm about to ask some real noob questions because I have never done a ECU update or anything like this.

    1. Is this just an ECU update or is this considered a tune?
    2. Does the Tactrix OBD have to be used for this update or will the OV Tune OBD tuner work just as well?
    3. For a 2017 AT what TSB update would I use? Is it dependent on ECU ID? and is so how would I go about getting my ECU ID?

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks
