Does WV have any goofy gun laws like Maryland or can I carry as usual?

Is Great falls worth the trip? Looks like only 40 minute detour on the way to sleepy C.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Great Falls VA? Nice place to visit. Hiking trails and views on VA and MD side, but proabablt 1.5-2 hours from Sleepy Creek. Better to go early (by reviews) as parking fills quick on nice days. I've been there twice, both early, no problems.

I camped at dolly sods last summer. Place was packed! I want to go back at some point!

My map has it as adding 40mins on my trip on the way to Sleepy Creek. I may just skip it because I really want to camp on the lake at sleepy Creek and I figured that spot gets taken early.

Great Falls was my first excursion when I moved here. I just did the VA side and saw it after some pretty heavy spring rains. It was high and moving! When my wife came for a visit prior to moving here, we did both the VA and MD sides at about normal flows. We both liked it and enjoyed the day. The MD side has a few more things to do. The VA side you can hike to DC on. We had visitors here last August, but ran out of time with the other stuff we were doing.

If you've ever worked for the government or had a clearance I'd wager you've already been made.

Quick question for Sunday. What's the general exit strategy for heading out Sunday morning? My KDMAX tuner may be in Winchester Sunday.

In general, we just wake up, pack up and leave. No one hangs out or cooks breakfast or anything.

Also, the road to get out of camp is a maintained dirt road so if you needed to leave earlier, you can leave on your own whenever.

I'm a no for this weekend. Mrs. Rockfish is starting to feel better but there's a lot to do around the house to get ready for her next phase of treatment.

Glad to hear she’s doing well, that’s what’s important. There will be plenty of future trips.
