Funny update on the truck I sold to a Toyota dealer. They washed the outside and put it on the lot for $6k more than I sold it for. The funny thing is (1) I haven't mailed the wheel lock socket so no tire balance or rotation and (2) they didn't even vacuum the truck. Really earning that $6k markup. Pictures were sent from a salesman today. UPDATE Asking $37.9k. I sold it for $30.5k. I'm happy.

This all depends on the competence of the tech. A few months ago I had safelight do my wife’s windshield and the tech was able to replace the windshield without disconnecting or needing recalibration. The big problem with companies like safelight is you never know who you’re going to get.

If you disconnect the camera that senses the lane lines it needs recalibration. I really don’t understand why as it doesn’t need it after a battery disconnect. I bet someone here understands it a whole lot better than I do.

Did they give you more for leaving the Diode dynamic fog light? Or could you have put the stock back in and sold them?

Added a QC3.0 dual USB port to the front of the truck. Mostly did this for my wife as she likes to use her phone while it’s charging.

I was curious too why it needs calibration. I thought it had to do with the camera possibly moving when the windshield is out. Or maybe due to different refraction on different glass. Who told you that it doesn't need calibration if it doesn't get unplugged? That doesn't make sense to me.

Sucks, my wife lost the first windshield in her 4Runner with 62 miles on it.... yes 62, not a typo.... insurance replaced it, now she has 8200 and we just called yesterday for a second replacement... she got the 4runner January 25th of this year... Arizona roads are brutal on glass.

side note: If your wife gets a broken windshield on her brand new TRD Pro 4Runner and your immediate response is "Shouldn't have been following so close..." be prepared for a quiet afternoon. :anonymous: Follow me for more marriage pro tips

We had just bought a Yukon several years ago and my wife left the house, less than 200 yards and a dump truck in the opposite lane kicked up a rock and busted the windshield. I did not offer any advice :D

Oh I definitely know better, but sometimes, I just have to take that little dig. Every now and again I have to poke the bear. Her 4Runner is a company vehicle so they cover the insurance and all that good stuff. I would probably have a different attitude if I was paying for it.
