Turbo BS Thread

I've been considering using an HX35 off a dodge ram 2500 ranch truck that i've got sitting around once it dies. But it just keeps going even though the motor seems like it's on it's last leg..

I am hoping to be able to have some more time in the next month or so to head down your way for a Friday-Sunday so you can build a jig off my truck. Tax season just keeps dragging on this year though

 

I don’t understand why you need a head to make a manifold.

With OVT kicked off we’ll never get 2TR support now.

 

I'm holding out a tiny bit of hope since one guy in the 2tr performance thread said they had sent him the stuff for his 2tr... no idea how that followed up though.

 

I don't need a head. Need the engine bay. To fit for as best a packaging as possible.

I had the piece of post hole digger handle I rolled the fenders with still in the trunk. The deputy was helping me try to get it off the tire to get out of the highway and I finally was like, “you’ve never rolled a fender have you? Gimme that.” And popped it out after 20 seconds. He started laughing and said no.

 

That i am not sure of sir. I would have to take a closer look at it as i am not able to find anything definitive online

Too much boooooost, I've tweaked the response to load and for some reason it isn't complaining, it wants 19.5psi but it's making more and the AFR stays on target. I failed successfully.

Yeah, needed to add some spice to the tune for tonight, it's on E30 (don't have enough pump for E85), but still that like 98octane

 

99% sure it's a t3.

 

Yeah. My only concern is the unibody is rolled back where the fender meets(met) the headlight. Hood is cockeyed but I don't believe the unibody is tweaked. Even if it is, I've found several local VAG offerings already online with a 1.8t. One is an 2004 Audi A4 Quattro Avant with a 6 speed. Not a sideways motor so I could do a fancy turbo manifold and all my bits would swap over as well down to the rods. Plus the Audi got bigger ports on their 1.8t. Ideally the old lady would pay for my repair and alls well. KBB lists a private sale at $3500 so....

 

It would definitely get you up and going faster. I'm not sure if it is a T3 flange. I wanna say it is a T25 on this china manifold. I doubt your design would be that different. You would have better material to work with instead of whatever junk they use.
