Thinking of Leaving Chevy For A 2021 Tacoma. Convince me?

I think it's 90% the cabin vents that cause the noise. On the highway I'll hit the recirc button just to quiet down the interior.

 

My dad has an access cab and I have a double cab, it is definitely the cab format for whatever reason, sound dampening room maybe?

 

I know what you're on about, my subjective opinion:

My Tacoma generally rode well but a harsh bump would unsettle it. The initial hit wasn't so bad but it would reverberate through the truck, not what I'd call a solid feel. Over all my Frontier has firmer, but more composed ride, it takes a lot for it to get jostled around and unsettled. Pretty surprising considering how little suspension travel it has in stock form.

You've obviously have never driven an Off Road Gamma. Very smooth on the road, not jarring like the Sport.

I had a 2021 Colorado..saw it was a quart low on motor oil and I shrugged it off to underfill at factory....after first oil change at 7500 miles the truck used another quart by 10,000 miles..the underside of back seat fabric wasn't fastened together from factory and the dealership had to fix that..after the oil issue I parked it at Toyota dealership with a friend so I could go out of town...when I came back he had me setup in my Tacoma and I haven't looked back...

 

Other than cost, is there a reason you would recommend the Trail Edition rather than a Pro?

 

There's no reason to buy a trail edition vs. an off road, unless you want some goofy looking coolers to sell along with the lift kit.

My TRD PRO purchased in October 2017, vehicle sale price $43,875. Today, VG condition, 32,000 miles, private party value median average is $43,760.

 

Can confirm, had a 2005 5-speed Colorado with the 4 cylinder engine. Head gasket blew at 90K miles in 2019. I was pretty surprised as she was a well kept and gently driven family truck. Wasn't worth the fix so it got dumped. Will probably never buy a chevy again.
