Yes, the bell housing are the same. There are a few internal differences, but the out side is the same.

 

So release bearing, clutch, flywheel, etc. are all the same then? A hydraulic release bearing kit for the RA60F would be identical to the RA61F?

EDIT: I forgot that the existing Clutch Masters kit is BOTH transmissions. Disregard lol.

So from what I'm understanding here, the FJ pedal bolts right into the tacoma bracketry but it doesnt mate up properly to the clevis on the Clutch master cyl for the tacoma ?

 

Yeah, but, you need a new master too. So we just use the fj master. The clevis on that cylinder works with the fj pedal just fine obviously.

Man I have to say the work you have done here will be appreciated by a lot of Tacoma guys!

I met 2 random guys in the past year that told me they had the same issues (when they heard the chirping). Both sold their trucks after multiple clutch changes and troubleshooting.

I would love to have the expertise to do this, or the courage! I posted in another forum a reply to you about my slave cylinder failure...

Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to convince Tilton to get on this, I would beat that drum continuously. I think this could be very lucrative for them.

I also just saw the ClutchMasters hydro kit appear on the URD website, maybe there is an update if URD is now selling the CM kit?

Sounds like Tilton is interested. I had to edit these screen shots a bit. But, what’s relevant to this topic remains.

 

@BillDaCat8 how do you have your HRB tied to your master cylinder ? Did you tie into the OE hard line, or did you run a separate line all the way up to the firewall at the CMC ?

To be honest, I'm super excited. Trying not to get my hopes up here, but I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas.

 

I think that it can be designed to work for both 2nd and 3rd gen transmissions. The sleeve adjustment would differ, but, I’m betting that the hardware would be the same. Just would need to design the pin holder so that it would work with either application.
