Sorry I'm a little late on this write-up. Unfortunatly one of the trails I had planned would not handle the traffic of more than a few trucks a year. So we're down to 2 trails. The rally point is going to be Tops in Warrensburg around 11am.https://www.google.com/maps/dir//TO...1610518857!2m2!1d-73.7730304!2d43.4958119!3e0 From there we'll take back roads to a dirt pass through back country south to Hadley NY. That should take about 45 minutes. Then we'll proceed to the harder stuff around there in the bear slides area. If you wish to camp let me know, I'm planning on getting there Friday night to hopefully get one of the upper sites that are harder to get to. At that campground there is swimming, out houses and plenty of day use sites. If we have more than 5 people we'll have to get a free permit (or chance it) for that weekend. If that campground is full or you want more amenities there are lots of other campgrounds in the area. On day 2 I figured that would give us some more time to explore, maybe clean up around the area.

The whole adventure could be completed in about 5-6 hours at a minimum.

Hey guys, I’m gonna be renting a house in Lake Placid July 21-27. Would love to do this trip June 19, but I’m 3.5 hours away on Riverside, CT.

Anybody up for duplicating this trail ride that week?

I wouldn't mind. I don't think anyone else has even looked at this thread :tumbleweed:

I could be up for that. My Saturdays in June are still consumed by little league.

With all the rain recently those roads are very soft. We should postpone this till they dry up.
