Before I signed the agreement, they told me I could drive my ‘08 until the new one comes in.

‘21 TRD Off-Road DCSB in Silver purchased 5/31. LED headlight/fogs, floor mats, door sill protectors, and mudguards. MSRP and got the $500 Toyota incentive that ended 6/1. They wouldn’t budge on price but gave me a fair deal given current supply. The best deal I found was $300 off MSRP 250 miles from me after talking with five dealers; this one was equipped how I wanted and was on the lot so I pulled the trigger. I also financed to get the $500 military discount, no loan setup fee and no early pay-off penalty if you hold the loan for six months. I’m going to put a huge chunk on first payment and pay it off at six months, so I will pay a bit of interest but should still save a few hundred bucks. Dave Ramsey will yell at me for financing but I’m a sucker for a deal.

TRD OR 4WD Lease in California. No modding plans, so OR works perfect for me. No LED headlights, which I'm a bit bummed about, but we need a truck sooner than later.

41k MSRP, 4k markup = 45k The markup pretty much ensures I have little to no equity at the end of the lease.

Lease is 520/mo through Ally, 700 + first months payment down, 350 to get the truck shipped to Sacramento from Socal. Signing on Thurs.

I've explored shipping an out of state truck in, but that's $1000-$1500 each way, all out of pocket and not rolled into the whole car that you're paying a percentage of. Plus CA Smog/DMV/Out of state paperwork is a hassle.

Dealers around here and all around CA want the same markup or more (up to 10k), don't have the color or trim I want, want more money down and higher monthly by upwards of $200/mo and every other red OR in stock or inbound on the west coast is spoken for (used the inventory spreadsheet from this forum)

Not a screaming deal by any means, but I'm selling my tesla for nearly what I paid for it new 2 years ago, so.. it's a crazy market right now.

In my zip code they gave me $1k more than what KBB was quoting for trade in value.

27 - 29 is what KBB is (was) showing for private party sale in my area (48 hours ago). I have no problem with the trade in price.

I almost bought a new truck 7 months ago. At that time the trade in value was $14k on my truck. It has obviously gone up because shortages in chips and then the chip plant caught on fire.

As I was typing this I checked KBB again and the value has gone up by $750 in just 24 hours!

These are crazy times. I am sure I could have gotten more had I waited longer, but all in all I am fortunate to be in good financial standing where I can buy such an expensive toy.

    No regrets.

Depending upon your state’s trade-in tax credit structure which likely won’t be able to offset the stupidness, Carvana or one of the like is the way to go these days. They are giving stupid money for used Tacomas. Or at least take that quote to the dealership and tell them to match it.

I just bought a cement TRD OR DCSB Manual in the Atlanta Area. I paid full sticker price for the truck. The only negotiaon I was able to talk them into was to knock off the additional add ons on the secondary sticker like nitrogen tire fill, window tint etc. The amazing thing was that I got $400 more than I paid for my trade when I bought it new. I was more than happy with the deal.

Been lurking for quite a while, but joined the Tacoma club on the 1st.

The wife and I tested a certified pre owned TRD and loved it....but the price was super inflated. So I called all the Toyota dealers in the Phoenix valley the day after trying to find out the ETA on new Tacomas. Half the dealers told me mid to late July, and the others had 1 or 2 in stock or had some coming during the week. Only a couple were doing "market adjustments" but wouldn't tell me numbers unless I went in-person...the others had no adjustments but instead stacked a ton of dealer add-ons totaling $1200-3500. Finally settled on a silver SR5 V6 DCSB 4x2. The dealer said it was the only unsold one on a shipment arriving on the 1st, and that they were first come first serve...so I showed up right when they opened to claim it. Paid sticker price $34601 (had quite a few port accessories, only ones I didn't care for were the wheel locks) and split the cost of their mandatory dealer add-ons (tint, protection film) for $600. Figured I was going to get tint anyway. Salesman didn't account for the Tacoma tailgate decal in the split cost, so I'll consider it a freebie in addition to the breakfast they bought my for my family while we waited. I wasn't sure if I was going to get the $500 Toyota rebate, but happy to learn that it ran thru the 1st. All in all, happy with the truck and relatively smooth transaction with the dealer.

    Back in the Tacoma Family
Just bought a 21 TRD Pro here in Denver.
Really hard to find these, so had to settle with a 10k dealer premium.
    MSRP: $49900
    $59900 with 10k premium

    They added(included in MSRP above)
    TRD Air Filter: $90
    Emergency Assistance kit: $59
    LED Bed Lighting kit: $149
    Bed Mat: $120
    Door Edge Guards: $140
    Mudguards: $129
    Predator-Tube steps: $649
    Console Safe: $359
    Total for Optional Equip: $1695

    Base Price: $47030
    Delivery/Processing: $1175

This is replacing our 2016 Nautical Blue 4Runner with 2.5" lift, Gobi Rack, and custom wheels/tires.
They gave us 37k for trade-in, which is at the top of KBB. Paid $47k for the 4runner new.

We just bought a 2020 4runner TRD-Pro, Army Green in Sept, so the roof-top tent will now go on the Tacoma on a bed rack, so it won't be 7'9" high anymore. Will be able to fit most anywhere now, and have the 4runner to go off-roading in while leaving the tent setup.

Will go take a look. They gave us 2 keyfobs, and 1 valet key.

Also are people interested in the Monroney sticker? I'll add it to my post.

Edit: Build date I assume is 5/21. Just came in yesterday. Been sitting in Grand Junction since at least Monday(Been waiting all week for it to show up at dealer)

2nd Edit: Looking at the Rail non-fleet document wrapped around the manual it says: 5/19/21-07:30 AM Buy Off Date.

wow, so it barely spent anytime on the lot at all, I guess demand in CO truly justified the price. Back in early 2020, I called a CO dealership regarding 2020 TRD Pro, they were firm about $5k markup.
Also it's nice you got 2 keys, lots of Tacomas build after March 2021 only had 1 key, I speculate that Toyota prioritize key fobs to TRD Pros:rofl:

So this morning the VIN number I got showing all the options and packages stopped working. Today is also the build date I was told. I assume that was a temporary VIN I must have got? If so then I guess it's getting built today for sure and it's good news. Hope I can learn the ship date after today as well.
