I’m quite looking forward to firing this thing up. And may at some point finish the full TRD exhaust. I’ll see how these sound. I’m just stoked at finding them, last set I missed were on eBay 2 years ago at $1300. So I figured $800 for The whole exhaust was a deal.

anyone running the Doug Thorley headers with their SC? how do you like the combo? I have OBX headers on at the moment and not a huge fan.

slowly getting my engine ready to drop in.

edit; I should add, to remove any confusion, that the engine i'm building has the DT headers, the engine currently in my truck has OBX headers.

I bought a check valve for my 2002 Tacoma that I put the supercharger on it and I feel like I'm getting some bypass on my boost. Which line does this check valve go on??

I’m intentionally running it conservatively. I have no interest in pushing the envelope on this truck. I’m after reliable power without dealing with (any additional) premature wear of other components because I take this truck far off the grid.

I'm the same way with mine, rarely shift over 4k rpm if I can help it lol.

I'm fine with the little extra power over stock that the stock s/c setup provides, not looking for a race truck. I also didn't add the s/c, the PO did so I'm just happy with what it's got. Though I did have to add the 7th to it because it needed some help with running lean in the beginning.

I'll live vicariously through others on here that build out the supercharger and press more limits

Has it really been 2 years since then? I remember those sat for a long time and disappeared. Got mine from @JoeyWales recently. Huge thanks and as I just got my smog done, it’s tome to put them on.

Still deciding between a test pipe, gutted cats, or stock cats.

These sunsabishes are in. What a terrible job!!so glad that’s done. Now back to the transmission and duals.
@TacoBike i remember a set of them on both eBay and Kijiji. I watched them for a while, then when I finally had the play money for them, they disappeared. So I’m so happy these came up. As for catback, what I have is a magnaflow muffler, with some well bent exhaust pipe, but definitely not a true catback system. I’ll run it. See how it sounds, andirons it drones. May buy the rest of the “TRD” system thru borla, but if this is working, imma gonna send it!!

Yeah, from what I know the full catback is not anything special. Makes more sense to invest in a full 2.5" that will probably sound better with the advancements of the last 20 years. Does borla still sell original style catbacks for our trucks?
