Well we have the lovely humidity to back up 80 degree weather. So there's that.

But in all honesty, I'd rather have the humidity than the cold.

Man I felt the same way after I traded in my 2008 model 2nd Gen. The salesman pressed the ECT on when I test drove it. He knew I would not like that test drive under normal mode. I told my friends I would pay someone $1K if they could put my 2nd Gen engine and transmission back in this new truck. Well, I found someone that would do it for only $300! I got the KD Max tune to my 2020 ORDCBL 3rd Gen and now it drives as the 2nd Gen engine and transmission did. I got tired of being in 6th gear by the time I was at the end of the alley.

Not really something that I've "done" yet, but I've officially kicked off this project by picking up a bunch of expensive parts yesterday and today.

Yesterday, I went to my local Off Road Warehouse to pick up a set of Icon RXT leaf packs and u-bolts. This morning, I drove down to Cali Raised Off Road and picked up a set of Elka 2.5" extended travel coilovers and rear shocks with compression adjusters. As soon as I got home from Cali Raised, I jumped on the computer to order a set of JBA high caster UCAs. Just as I was about to click "pay," Off Road Warehouse texted me a coupon for my next purchase. I got to thinking, with a $40 shipping charge on the JBAs, I could buy a better set of UCAs for only a couple hundred more by using that coupon. I headed back down to ORW and looked at several different sets that they had. Total Chaos, Dirt King, etc. The guy at the counter was offering me a hell of a deal on a set of Element billet with heimed joints, but they were still more than twice the price that I was going to pay for the JBAs. I was just about settled on the Icon tubular with Delta Joints when my wife said "if you're already going to pay $800, why not just pay a few hundred more and get the ones you want?" Who could argue with that logic?!
    :spending:

Now I'm just waiting on my extended brake lines to arrive from Wheelers and for a free day with no other obligations so that I can get everything installed. :bananadance:

Where did you get the wire? That's a sweet looking setup, and I need it in my life. :D

Anyone know if I can get 12V power from any of these wires in the overhead panel or if I can tap into any of them just to illuminate my cab switches. I’ve got my bed lights and garage door opener in it now but I want to throw my Baja rock lights that are on my roof rack to a switch on this panel. Haven’t looked too much into it but I know they only need 12v. TIA

Not positive, but I bet @kmorgan3 either makes or could make an illumination tap for that

The bed mats are worth whatever price you can get em for. Having used mine for a few years now I would have been willing to pay a little more than I did. They should come standard on these trucks.

Went to Home Depot and picked up some bonded 16ga 4-wire trailer wire and wrapped it in 5/8" 3:1 heat shrink from Amazon, tapped it into place with a dead blow hammer and a piece of cardboard.

I agree! I'd never seen then before, but once the guy brought these ones out and showed them to me, I couldn't leave the store with anything else. They're super overkill for my application, but I'm really stoked. There's a lot of little details in these things that make them really awesome. They even designed a small chamfer to the underside of the arms, which gives it even more clearance from the coil and reservoirs. Here they are on Element's website: https://www.elementhardparts.com/products/element-billet-uniball-heim-uca-toyota-tacoma-2005

I rolled my bed mat up to send it back. I still need to tape the bag up.

While I was in the garage I figured I should knock out the AC drain mod before the heat sets in for the day. Routing wasn't quite as straightforward as I thought it would be.

I’m waiting on the brown guy that brings me toys. An order from Home Depot is scheduled to arrive today. Milwaukee packout cases and bases. I’ll be installing the bases on the roof rack for some click and go storage up there.

I love those pack out cases from Milwaukee too. What's your setup going to look like?
