I'm telling ya, going through the long process of putting a baby or toddler to sleep and finally getting an hour to yourself before going to bed... It makes you look at noise a little differently lol

Plus we have to get up at 445 tomorrow morning to get to the airport so... argh

Yeah, i don't have kids but the older I get the grumpier I get about noise - mostly cuz everything is just so noisy these days. Mowers all day, sportbikes running up the street at night, harleys going by on the weekends, and douches wrapping out diesels at random.

Heck, the quietest thing around here is the freight train that goes by  All i can hear is the generator and that nice low 16 cylinder rumble.

Yeah man this time of year blows, we crank up her sound machine in her room extra loud from about now through mid July lol. Luckily she tends to sleep pretty well most nights lately. Last year when she was an infant getting up 2x a night on average it was rough.

I'm on the fence about the position of that chair.

Yeah I was the same way well before the kiddo came along. The older you get the more you appreciate not having your space invaded audibly or otherwise.
I feel like more and more lately everyone has a knee jerk 'fuck you' mentality toward everyone else, it's like empathy is completely foreign anymore.

Maybe I'm just getting old. That's probably at least 75% of it

2020 was the year I made a conscious effort to honk at people less.

    Its a start

I remember my sister in law told me once that she's never used a car horn while driving. I don't think I've ever been so confused by a statement in my life

Although I will say I've forced myself to keep calm more esp when driving with my family in the car. Don't want them to end up a statistic because of me. Too many unpredictable crazies out there

I just get irritated at people not paying attention. Take more than 1.2 seconds to take your foot off the brake at a green light? Thats a honkin'.

I hear ya on the crazies. Aside from the one guy I saw last week who i'm 90% sure was stoned out of his gourd, people are pretty chill around here. Other places seem worse when I go there though.

That said, having learned to drive in houston, maybe I'm the crazy one. :boom:

    Of course!

There’s resin in places resin shouldn’t be right now, and I’m not talking about on the boat

I still haven’t fixed the leaking problem. It’s the driveshaft outdrive bellow I think that’s causing it, but TBH it could be anything

Did you use a roller to flatten out the air bubbles?

Yesterday I learned ammonia works well for cleaning carpet. I used 1 part of ammonia to 4 parts of water to clean some heavily soiled carpet. It smells, but it really causes dirt to release. Rinses easily. I used it with the Tornado spray gun. Also with the little Rug Doctor type cleaner. I see several recipes for a homemade carpet cleaner that are based on ammonia with some other ingredients.
