Hi all, I searched for this and found a thread from 2019, but didn't want to revive it. I recently purchased a 21 TRD Sport and the dealer included heated seats on the Due Bill, and I know this isn't uncommon, but what I'm looking for is if anyone has had them put the switches in the overhead switch panel, possible utilizing the me-so panel replacements.

    TIA!

You're likely going to get small circle style switches where they just drill holes in random spots near the center console. I doubt you're going to be able to get them to install them on the overhead without paying more money.

So that is exactly what they WANTED to install, but I told them f that, I want rectangular switches, and he checked with his distributor and he's able to get the ones I want.

I initially wanted them installed in the central panel under the head unit, but after taking my truck over there this weekend he said because my panel is full, if they moved existing switches it would void the warranty moving forward, and I don't want to do that.

I don't know to what extent they'll accommodate me, so I figured I'd see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Canadian SR5 with heated cloth.... these are the heated switches we get from the factory. Just a high mode....top is drivers, bottom is passenger side.

Interesting, I haven't seen both on one switch before. From the looks of it, it's located in your center panel under the A/C control? Thx

Thats right...it would go in one of your blanks under the AC. These are on the SR/SR5. I know the nicer TRD and newer dual zone trucks have them up on the dash and have a high/low mode. Mine are just on or off.

Yeah, I have the dual zone climate control, but no factory heated seats. I don't have any blanks down there unfortunately, which is why I'm looking at getting the switches installed in the overhead panel.

Mine heated seats were after market at the dealer the put the button on the side of the seat facing the door. My old truck had them as push buttons.

Yeah, the guy in the service dept initially said that's where they wanted to put them, but I thought it inconvenient if the passenger left their seat on, requiring me to reach all the way over to switch it off. Hopefully they'll be able to accommodate my request; I'll be sure to post details here.

Yeah, it was a major concern of mine, but so far the service guy has been really nice with regard to getting the type of switches I want (instead of the small round ones), and hopefully he gets back to me this week with good news about my request of their placement as well.

Hmm. I've been refreshing daily for about 2 weeks and haven't seen any movement. This is the last piece of my puzzle to get my heated seats installed! I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas lol.

No, you're absolutely right, however I have new seat covers that are sitting here all boxed up and I can't put them on until after the dealer installs the heaters in the seats. First world struggles I guess.
